Prosper Earns Second USBWA Team Of The Week Honor

INDIANAPOLIS – For the second time this season, Cassandre Prosper has been named to the USBWA National Team of the Week following her stellar play in two Fighting Irish victories over the last week.

The senior averaged a double-double over the week, posting 22.0 points per game and 13.5 rebounds per game while shooting 62.5 percent from the floor. Prosper’s 27 rebounds over the two wins were the most recorded by any ACC player over the past week.

Prosper started the week with one of her best games during her time at Notre Dame, leading the Irish in scoring with 27 points and rebounding with 13 boards in the 94-60 win over Boston College. The small forward was one point and rebound shy of matching her career highs.

The senior followed up her monster performance with 17 points and 14 rebounds in the blowout victory over No. 22 North Carolina.

Prosper has now recorded six double-doubles over her last eight games, averaging 20 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.

The Fighting Irish cap off the three-game homestand by welcoming No. 10 Louisville to Purcell Pavilion for a midweek matchup. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET on Thursday, Jan. 15 and the game will air on ACCN.
