SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Rain has forced major changes in Friday’s action in the NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Championship, as the first two quarterfinal contests – featuring #2 Notre Dame against #7 Miami and #3 USC taking on #9 Northwestern – have been moved indoors to the San Francisco Tennis Club. The matches, originally scheduled to get underway at 3 p.m. (PT) at Stanford University’s Taube Tennis Stadium, will commence at approximately 7 p.m. (PT), but proceed on just three courts each (as opposed to the customary six). Notre Dame’s official athletics website, und.com, will feature scoring updates (every 10-15 minutes) on the match between the Irish and Hurricanes.
