SENIOR SEASON (2021-22)

  • Entered transfer portal at the end of the season
  • Played in 20 games, averaging 12.1 minutes off the bench.
  • Suffered a concussion at DePaul on Dec. 22 – missed the next 4 games due to concussion protocol.
  • Finally returned Jan. 23 with a three-minute rotation at Pitt and then 6 minutes vs Syracuse, easing back into the rotation. Abby knocked down a trey against Syracuse and reeled in 3 boards.
  • Spark against BC on Jan. 30, earning 6 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals in 20 minutes of play.
  • Abby’s unfortunate injury luck struck again vs. No. 3 NC State on Feb. 1 when she exited the game with a facial injury in the 2nd quarter. She had 2 points and 3 rebounds in 4 min of play at the time of the injury.
  • Finally returned for the NCAA Tournament, in which she appeared in all three games.  
  • In the first round, Abby scored all 6 of her points in the first quarter. Abby then tacked on three points in the second round vs Oklahoma.
  • Only took 57 total shots, but her shots have been true when given the green light, knocking down 50.9 percent.
  • Abby has improvied her shooting percentage every year.
  • Prohaska led the Irish in Effective FG%, where she finished with 52.6 percent.
  • Coach Ivey credited Peoples and Prohaska as her two best defensive players. With that said, Prohaska was viewed as the fan favorite for her defensive grit and hustle on the court. She’s the most likely to take a charge and dive after a loose ball.
  • Exited the DePaul game early on Dec. 22 after being elbowed in the face. Before the exit, she had grabbed 6 rebounds in just 10 minutes to go with her 4 points.
  • Tied her season high of 10 points vs. Purdue FW on Dec. 12.
  • At Valpo on Dec. 8, Abby took 2 charges, then down on the other end of the court, she poured in 9 points on 4-of-5 shooting, including her first three of the season.
  • Coach Ivey credited Prohaska in the Western Illinois post-game presser – stating she provided the energy spark the team needed in the second half. Prohaska scored all 7 of her points in the fourth quarter.
  • Given 28 minutes against Bryant on Nov. 21, Prohaska delivered a season high 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting to go with her career-high tying 7 rebounds.
  • Took 2 charges against Oregon State. Added 5 point and 4 boards in another solid defensive effort. 

JUNIOR SEASON (2020-21)

  • Played in 16 games, with 13 starts, averaging 21.2 minutes.
  • Prohaska earned her first career 5-5-5 Stat-Sheet Stuffer game in the win over Wake Forest (1/14), totaling 8 points, 5 rebounds and a career high 7 assists.
  • Came off the bench at Clemson (12/20) and recorded a career high 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting.
  • Provided the best plus/minus of any Irish in win over Virginia Tech (12/17) at +11. A defensive spark, Prohaska helped seal the win with a steal with 20 seconds left. She finished with 4 points, 2 steals and 3 rebounds.
  • Took a medical redshirt last season after being diagnosed with bilateral pulmonary embolism in October. In fact it was 599 total days between the 2019 NCAA title game against Baylor and the season opener.
  • In her first game back, Prohaska proved she had the stamina, recording a career high 33 minutes in her start at Ohio (11/27). Also recorded a career high seven boards and four assists.
  • First double-digit scoring performance of her career vs. Miami OH (11/29), netting 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2019-20)

  • Took a medical redshirt after being diagnosed with bilateral pulmonary embolism in October.
  • Will join Brunelle, Peoples and Gilbert with sophomore athletic status for the 2020-21 season.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2018-19)

  • Played in 38-of-39 games, averaging 14.4 minutes, which includes 3 starts.  Scored in 20-of-38 appearances.
  • Became an instant fan favorite due to her hustle on the court and willingness to take a charge. Led the team in charges taken.
  • Was Notre Dame’s primary and lone guard option off the bench during the NCAA Tournament. Provided a +8 in plus-minus vs UConn (4/5).
  • Spark off the bench: When Arike received her third foul and went to the bench in the third quarter vs Stanford, the Irish trailed 44-41 with 2:51 left in the quarter. Enter Prohaska who helped ignite a 13-4 scoring run to end the quarter up 52-46, as the Irish never looked back. Prohaska tallied 4 points, 3 boards and 1 assist in the game.
  • Made her NCAA Tournament debut on March 23 vs Bethune-Cookman, collecting 2 points & 3 boards.
  • Made her first collegiate three-pointer in regular season finale vs Virginia (3/3) then connected on a trey again vs Syracuse (3/9).
  • Tied her season high in points (6) and rebounds (5) vs FSU on Feb. 10.
  • Made her third start at UNC on Jan. 27.
  • Tied her career high of 4 steals at Virginia Tech (1/16).
  • Was the only Irish reserve to record positive plus-minus minutes at No. 19 Marquette (12/22) with +9.
  • Tied her season high of 4 assists vs WKU (12/19).
  • Made her first two collegiate starts at the Vancouver Showcase against Gonzaga and Drake.
  • Recorded her first career block vs No. 14 Iowa on Nov. 29.
  • Provided spark off the bench at No. 15 DePaul, tallying 4 points, 4 assists, 0 turnovers and 4 steals. Abby’s Plus-Minus of +25 was the highest of any Irish player in the win.

High School

  • Attended Lakota West High School
  • Ranked 78th overall and the 20th best shooting guard in 2018 class
  • Averaged 15.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.3 steals as a senior
  • Led the Firebirds to a top-10 state ranking, a Greater Miami Conference Championship and a No. 1 seed in the state tournament
  • Experienced just eight losses during her four-year tenure at Lakota West
  • Broke the Lakota West career assists record, surpassing the 270 mark at the District Championship
  • Also a member of the 1,000-career points club
  • Led the Firebirds to a 24-3 season as a junior, reaching the Division I Regional Semifinals
  • As a junior – Averaged 11.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists, as the latter tied the school record set back in 2006
  • Broke the Lakota West single season steals record in her freshman season (100)
  • Was named to the USA U18 team
  • Earned a bronze medal at the FIBA U17 World Championship with the USA U17 squad in 2016
