AS A SENIOR: Raced primarily with the second varsity four and first novice eight boats… earned two runner-up finishes as a member of the second varsity four and first novice eight boats at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational.
AS A JUNIOR: Raced primarily with the third varsity four boat, briefly stepping into the B-team second varsity eight boat at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational … in the varsity four boat at Oak Ridge, placed second behind Kansas with a time of 8:09.60 before falling to defending NCAA champion Virginia in the second race with an 8:12.18 clip … as a member of the B-team second varsity eight boat, finished fourth with a mark of 7:21.61 … third varsity four boat at Michigan State finished second in both races, first with a time of 8:14.60 and next with an 8:28.50 interval … came in fourth in both races at the Ohio State Invitational … competed with the second varsity four boat at the fifth annual Dale England Cup … came in second in first race behind the Notre Dame A-team, beating Alabama by almost 20 seconds with a time of 8:05.6 … in the second race, beat Irish A-team boat by seven seconds exactly, racing in behind Iowa at 8:21.4 … in the final race of the weekend, switched to the first novice eight boat and finished third … in her final race of the season was a member of the grand final third varsity four boat at the BIG EAST Championship, racing ahead of Louisville at an 8:20.902 mark.
AS A sophomore: Studied abroad during her sophomore year and was not a member of the team.
AS A FRESHMAN: Recorded her first career first-place finish vs. Buffalo in the third varsity eight race, clocking in at 6:39.7 … concluded her spring season by helping her novice eight boat finish second behind Indiana after clocking in at 7:39.6 … helped guide the women[apos]s novice eight ‘B’ boat at the Head of the Rock Regatta to a 10th-place finish (20:27.16) … finished seventh with the Notre Dame ‘5’ boat vs. Tulsa in the varsity eight head race, stopping the clock at 16:02.4.
PREP AND PERSONAL: Swam four years for coach Kendra Kelly at St. Mary[apos]s Academy … named team captain her senior season … four-year Academic All-State selection … High School League Champions in 2007 … member of the National Honor Society, National Art Honors Society and French Honor Society … daughter of Diane (`81) and Edward (`81) Bliesnzer … enrolled in the College of Arts and Letters, double majoring in English and French.
