Three-year monogram winner … skilled midfielder who saw her college career bracketed by significant foot injuries … was able to fill many different roles in the Irish attack … proved to be a premier holding mid with her tough tackling and ability to win possession back … defensive skills improved with her physical strength and fearless approach in the air … also had classic combination of skills for a prototypical attacking midfielder, merging technical excellence with tactical savvy … good vision and ability to find open forwards and wing players when she won possession back in the midfield or was attacking from the midfield … showed more offensive flair as career progressed … constant threat for opposing goalies with one of hardest shots on the team and ability to score from distance … creative playmaker with tremendous touch on the ball, assortment of dizzying moves, tremendous field vision … had special ability to bring teammates into the game, due to keen passing and timely change of pace … spirited personality brought life to the team in any setting.

AS A SENIOR: Served as one of three team captains along with Jessica Schuveiller and classmate Michele Weissenhofer … broke her left foot during preseason training and underwent successful corrective surgery on Aug. 13 … participated in a strenuous rehabilitation program, but she was unable to heal sufficiently to receive clearance from team medical personnel and compete during the 2009 season.

AS A JUNIOR: An all-BIG EAST second team selection … played in 27 games for the Irish, making 26 starts … netted three goals and added five assists for 11 points, all of which were career high marks … her five assists were the fifth-most on the team … opened the season with two assists in Notre Dame[apos]s season-opening 7-0 win versus Michigan … named to the Inn at Saint Mary[apos]s Classic All-Tournament Team … scored her first goal of the season versus SMU (W, 5-0), netting the game winner … also scored in Notre Dame[apos]s win at Cincinnati (6-0) as she gave the Irish a 4-0 lead in that contest … also had assists in wins at Providence (5-0) and Seton Hall (6-0) … scored the third goal for the Irish in their BIG EAST quarterfinal win over Cincinnati … started all six of Notre Dame[apos]s NCAA Tournament games … played every minute of the final five NCAA contests … notched an assist in the NCAA national championship match when she lofted a cross over the UNC back line to an onrushing Kerri Hanks, who picked up the ball in stride and chipped in a shot with the outside of her right foot to give Notre Dame a 1-0 lead just 16 seconds into the game, setting a record for the quickest goal to open an NCAA title game, as well as being the second-fastest score in school history … one of a record-setting 19 players to score for the Irish in 2008.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Played in 25 of 26 games … made 17 starts … notched a goal and four assists for six points … three of her four assists came in post-season play … scored the second goal in Notre Dame[apos]s 3-0 win against Georgetown on a left-footed shot … set up Hanks[apos] goal in 1-1 tie versus West Virginia in the BIG EAST final … set up Weissenhofer[apos]s game-winning goal at #4 North Carolina in the NCAA round-of-16 match by playing a thru-ball down the left side to the forward.

AS A FRESHMAN: Bounced back from early foot injury that sidelined her seven games, emerging as one of team[apos]s top players over final month … scored twice and added four assists while appearing in every game when healthy (20; five starts) … ranked fifth on team in shots (38) despite missing a month … registered assist in opening win over Iowa State (9-0), with deep cross from left side that set up Lizzie Reed[apos]s far-post goal (6-0) … started in home showdown with fellow number-one ranked Santa Clara but suffered foot injury that held her out from Sept. 3-Oct. 5 … returned to action on Oct. 6 versus Seton Hall … had assist two days later, when her short free kick from right corner ultimately led to goal by Amanda Cinalli (for 2-0 cushion versus Rutgers) … returned to starting lineup next week at Providence, logging 70 minutes in 5-0 win while providing primary assist with pass to onrushing right back Ashley Jones (whose looping far-post shot capped scoring) … made brief shifts to forward, including in second half of top-10 showdown at Villanova … scored first goal of her collegiate career shortly after moving to forward in that game, taking rightside drop pass from Weissenhofer and shifting ball to her left before rocketing low shot through crowded penalty area and into back of the net (3-1 lead in 75th minute and eventual gamewinner, 4-2) … her pass to Jen Buczkowski helped spring Hanks for goal and 3-1 lead on Oakland in NCAA opener (assist; 7-1 final) … pounced on a Florida State turnover outside the top right corner of the box and faked a defender before blasting 25-yard leftfooted shot into near-right side of goal for 1-0 lead in 36th minute (2-1 win) in NCAA College Cup semifinal.

NATIONAL TEAM/ODP/CLUB HIGHLIGHTS: Member of U.S. U-17 and U-16 national teams … competed alongside Cinalli at first-ever U.S. U-17 national-team event, playing as a 15-year-old and scoring team[apos]s first goal … member of ODP Region II team (2000-06) … star player for Ohio North ODP team that won 2002 regional title and finished third at ensuing 2003 nationals … played for Super Y Divisional ODP Team … spent 2004-07 summers playing with W-League[apos]s Cleveland Internationals (Cinalli and another ND teammate, Rose Augustin, were on 2005-07 teams) … tied for team assist lead (4) on 2007 Internationals while appearing in 10 games for 12-8-4 squad … helped Internationals place second in 2005 standings … advanced with Internationals to 2006 Region II semifinals, losing to Eclipse team that featured her future classmates Weissenhofer and Amanda Clark … she and Weissenhofer were teammates with ODP Region II and had been club rivals when Team Chicago faced Internationals … played alongside Weissenhofer and Clark at 2006 U-19 regional in southern California (Home Depot Center).
