Played one season at Notre Dame after transferring from Maryland … graduated from the University of Maryland and was on the Terrapin roster for four seasons … did not play during his sophomore season due to an injury … saw action in 30 games at Maryland and notched one assist and 13 ground balls … played all 16 games during his one season with the Fighting Irish.
FIFTH SEASON (2013): Played in all 16 games … a key member of Notre Dame[apos]s defensive midfield group … the Notre Dame defense ranked 10th nationally and first in the BIG EAST with an 8.31 goals-against average … the Fighting Irish also ranked 10th nationally and first in the BIG EAST in man-down defense (.737) … picked up seven ground balls … scooped up a season-high two ground balls in a 13-9 win over Villanova … earned a monogram.
AS A SENIOR AT MARYLAND (2012): Two ground balls in 12-6 win over Hartford … earned his first career point in a 10-7 win over Duke … two ground balls in 17-4 win over Marist … one ground ball and one caused turnover in 11-5 win over Villanova … one ground ball in 11-10 loss at North Carolina … helped hold the Blue Jays scoreless for final 29:17 in 9-6 win at Johns Hopkins … one ground ball in 10-9 win at No. 7 seed Lehigh in first round of NCAA tournament … one ground ball in 9-3 loss to No. 1 seed Loyola in title game of the NCAA Championship.
AS A JUNIOR AT MARYLAND (2011): Returned to action, playing both long pole and short stick, in 16-4 win over Detroit Mercy … had one ground ball and a caused turnover versus the Titans … played strictly short-stick in 20-8 win over Georgetown … had one ground ball and one caused turnover versus the Hoyas … one ground ball in 12-8 win over Bellarmine … caused one turnover in 15-6 win over UMBC… caused one turnover in 11-4 win over St. Joseph[apos]s.
AS A SOPHOMORE AT MARYLAND (2010): Did not play due to injury.
AS A FRESHMAN AT MARYLAND (2009): Made his collegiate debut in 18-3 win over Presbyterian … two ground balls in 15-6 win over Binghamton.
PREP AND PERSONAL: A 2007 U.S. Lacrosse High School All-American … was a tryout invitee for the 2008 U.S. Under-19 national team … ranked the No. 32 freshman midfielder in the nation according to Inside Lacrosse … ranked the 87th overall recruit by Inside Lacrosse … No. 51 on the Sports Illustrated Takkle 100 … missed most of his senior season at Notre Dame Academy due to injury … scored 10 goals with 12 assists and 40 groundballs in seven games … was still named honorable mention All-Met by the Washington Post … totaled 179 goals in his four seasons for the Dragons, including a single-season record 86 as a junior in 2007 … led Notre Dame to the 2007 Division II VISAA (Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association) title … was named championship MVP after scoring four goals and adding an assist in the 8-7 win over Highland … two-time first team All-MILL (Maryland Independent Lacrosse League) honoree … son of Eric and Nancy Miller … played with his younger brother Matt during his one season at Notre Dame … graduated from the University of Maryland[apos]s Robert H.
