weekend … picked up individual wins in the 100 breast (1:02.66) and the 200 breast (2:16.80) and swam a leg on the winning 200 medley relay squad (1:43.12) in a dual meet win over Illinois … also helped 400 free relay team (3:27.88) place second at same meet … picked up three individual wins in a double dual against Michigan and Northwestern … took first in the 100 breast (1:01.57 – NCAA B Cut), 200 breast (2:13.48 – NCAA B Cut) and the 200 IM (2:01.76) … helped the 200 medley relay squad (1:43.03) take second … won three individual events and placed second in the 200 medley relay Shamrock, claiming three individual titles and four relay wins … won the 100 breast (1:02.30), the 200 back (2:04.94) and the 200 medley relay (1:45.47) in a dual meet against Cleveland State … had team’s best time of year in four events: 200 free (1:47.78 – leadoff – ACC’s), 100 breast (58.43 – NCAA’s), 200 breast (2:07.10 – NCAAs) & 200 IM (1:55.13 – NCAAs) … other individual best times included 49.42 in the 100 free (leadoff – ACCs), 4:59.25 in the 500 free (Auburn/Vanderbilt), 2:04.94 in the 200 back (vs. Cleveland State) and 53.99 in the 100 fly (Shamrock) … swam at the Phillips 66 National Championships (long-course) in August before school began … finished 10th in the 50-meter breast (31.47), fourth in the 100m breast (1:06.74), sixth in the 200m breast (2:29.27), 27th in Patrick O’Connor Award (student-athletes who best display the total embodiment of the true spirit of Notre Dame as exemplified by their contributions to their respective teams) … participated in the Student-Athlete Advisory Counsel and the Rosenthal Leadership Academy … named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll … earned a monogram.
AS A JUNIOR (2013-14): Put together a historic and remarkable junior campaign that culminated in the school’s first swimming/diving national championship (200-yard breaststroke) … rewrote the record books with a pair of record-breaking swims … finished off a dominating ACC meet by breaking the Notre Dame, ACC, NCAA, U.S. Open and American records in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:04.34) … is thought to be the only Notre Dame student-athlete past or present to hold an American record while still in school … record put stamp on impressive conference meet where she won individual titles in the 100 breast (58.46) and 200 IM (1:54.92), in addition to the 200 breast, to claim Most Valuable Female Swimmer of the meet honors … also teamed up with Catherine Mulquin, Courtney Whyte and Kelly Ryan to finish second in the 400 medley relay at the conference meet … was a favorite in the 200 breast going into the NCAAs along with Olympic Gold Medalist Breeja Larson … lowered own school, ACC, NCAA, U.S. Open and American record at the NCAAs by going 2:04.06 to win the event by a second and a half … the national title put the finishing touches on a spectacular NCAA Championships that included All-America trophies in the 200 IM (7th – 1:56.15) and 100 breast (3rd – 57.79) … earned ACC Women’s Swimmer of the Year honors after NCAA meet … was outstanding during the year in the classroom as well … earned ACC Women’s Swimming & Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors, Capital One Academic All-District V At-Large accolades and Capital One Academic At-Large All-America honors … became the first swimmer or diver on either the men’s or women’s side at Notre Dame to be tabbed an academic All-American … named ACC Women’s Swimmer of the Week five times during year … was tabbed the Division I Phillip Hunsaker CollegeSwimming.com Swimmer of the Week for the second time in her career after ACC performance … broke several meet and pool records, in addition to her own school record in the 200 breast, on way to winning six events and finishing second in two others at the Hawkeye Invitational … clinched spot at NCAA Championships with A cuts in the 200 breast and 200 IM … won 31 individual races and 13 relays on campaign … went undefeated in the 200 breast (9-0), 100 fly (3-0), 200 fly (2-0) and 100 free (2-0) … broke school records in the 100 breast (57.79), 200 breast (2:04.06), 200 IM (1:54.92), 200 medley relay (1:37.61) and 400 medley relay (3:33.93) during season … also lowered Rolfs Aquatic Center records in 200 IM (1:58.42) and 800 free relay (7:22.65) … named to the 2014-15 USA Swimming National Team after finishing fourth and sixth, respectively, in the 100-meter breast (1:06.74) and 200-meter breast (2:27.47) at the 2014 Phillips 66 National Championships … named a first team CSCAA Scholar All-American … placed on the all-ACC Academic Team and the ACC Academic Honor Roll … earned the Monogram Club MVP award for women’s swimming & diving … participated in the Rosenthal Leadership Academy … selected a team tri-captain with Allison Casareto and Bridget Casey … earned a monogram.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2012-13): Turned in spectacular sophomore campaign that placed her among the top swimmers in the country … entered junior season with school records in the 100 and 200 breast, 200 and 400 IM, 200 and 400 medley relay and 400 and 800 free relay … earned two first team All-America certificates (100 & 200 breast) and two honorable mention All-America scrolls (200 IM & 400 medley relay) at the NCAA Championships … also earned College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) first team All-America honors … became the ninth fastest woman in the history of the 200-yard breaststroke (2:06.77) to take fifth at the NCAA Championships … broke own school record in event … also finished fifth in the 100 breast (59.19), ninth in the 200 IM (1:55.06), 13th as part of the 400 medley relay (3:34.66), 22nd with the 200 medley relay team (1:39.35) and 24th on the 400 free relay team (3:16.69) … named BIG EAST Women’s Most Outstanding Swimmer at the BIG EAST Championships after winning six events (three relays, three individual) and earning all-BIG EAST honors seven times … earned three NCAA A-cuts and four B-cuts with performances … set BIG EAST records in 200 IM (1:56.37), 100 breast (58.84) and 400 medley relay (3:34.86) … set school records in those same three events and in the 200 medley relay (1:38.74) as well … won individual titles in the 200 IM, 100 breast and 200 breast and relay titles in the 800 free relay, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay … ended BIG EAST career as two-time champ in 100 breast, 200 IM and 400 medley relay … also swam in the U.S. Open during summer 2013, winning silver in the 200 breast (2:26.65), bronze in the 100 breast (1:07.56), fourth in the 200 IM, eighth in the 200 fly and 12th in the 100 fly (1:00.35) … performances in both breaststroke specialties at the US Open put her as the top American in each event … named to the 2013-14 USA Swimming National Team, a selection made based on performance at the US Open … took 11th in both the 100 breast and 200 IM at the 2013 Phillips 66 National Championship and World Champions Trials … brought home the gold in Irish meets throughout the season in 100 free, 200 free, 100 fly, 100 breast, 200 breast, 200 IM, 400 IM, 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay, 200 free relay, 400 free relay and 800 free relay … named a first team CSCAA Scholar All-America selection … a member of the BIG EAST All-Academic team … named the team MVP by the Monogram Club for the second year in a row … participated in the Rosenthal Leadership Academy … earned a monogram.
AS A FRESHMAN (2011-12): Made an immediate impact for the Irish as a versatile swimmer that competed in every stroke while excelling in the breaststroke and IM, earning honorable mention All-America honors in three events during first year … named the Monogram Club MVP for the team in recognition for accomplishments in the pool … lowered the school record several times throughout the season in the 200 IM, culminating in a ninth-place finish (1:55.67) at the NCAA Championships … competed in the 100 and 200 breast at the pinnacle of collegiate swimming, posting season-best times of 59.81 and 2:09.73 while placing 11th and 14th, respectively … secured individual championships in the 100 breast (59.85) and 200 IM (1:56.42) at the BIG EAST Championships, and took second place in the 200 breast (2:11.42) … swam the breaststroke leg of the winning 400 medley relay that set the Trees Pool record at the same meet … assisted in setting a school record in the gold-winning 400 free relay at the BIG EAST Championships and aided the 800 free relay to a third-place showing … posted season-best times in the 200 free (1:51.25) and 100 fly (55.65) while taking first place against Michigan State … won the 400 IM at the Ohio State Invitational in a season-best time of 4:12.19 … took first in the 100 and 200 breast in meets against Michigan/Northwestern and Louisville, and placed third and second, respectively, in the same events at the Ohio State Invitational … won the 200 IM at the Ohio State Invitational (1:57.67), Shamrock Invitational and in dual meets against Louisville, Purdue, Ball State, and Pittsburgh … earned place in the Jan. 16th issue of Sports Illustrated’s Faces In The Crowd section after standout meet at Ohio State where she broke the school record in the 200 IM for the first time … competed at the U.S. Olympic Trials, finishing 13th in the 200 IM, 23rd in the 200 breast, 24th in the 100 breast and 41st in the 400 IM at the long course meet … earned a monogram.
