Genesis Báez Women's Rowing Roster

AS A FRESHMAN (2020-21)

• Raced in the Irish 3V8 at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational (3/13-14), placing first in a Saturday morning race
• Defeated Louisville in Indianapolis (3/27) as a member of the Irish second varsity four
• Raced in the Irish 3V8 in the afternoon at the Big Ten Invite (4/17-18), placing fourth

HIGH SCHOOL: 

• Earned four varsity letters in diving and was a four-year captain of the team at Phillips Exeter Academy.
• Also competed with the City Island Rowing club team.

PERSONAL: 

• Daughter of Leonel Báez and Sugeyris Lopez-Báez.
• Has three siblings, brother, Aaron, who competes in rowing at Columbia University, along with younger brother Issac and sister Rachel.
• Part of a proud military family and is a member of the New York National Guard, along with her two brothers. Father, Leonel, served in the United States Marine Corps.
• Plans to major in political science and global affairs with a minor in Latino Studies.
