PREP & PERSONAL: Swam with Team Suffolk and prep team … holds multiple records and was named a Scholastic All-American with club team … boasts undefeated record at dual meets, and was twice a New York state champion in the 100 freestyle and 200 individual medley (IM) races … held the state record three times, qualifying for the state championship meet all four years during career at Hauppauge High … won school’s sportsmanship award and was voted state MVP … chosen county MVP three times and earned 11 All-American accolades … hails from Smithtown, New York the same area as Irish women’s lacrosse player Stephanie Peragallo … graduated from Hauppauge in spring 2014 … son of Peter and Claudette Plaschka … has one brother, Edurardo, and one sister, Jade … Jade was a swimmer at SUNY Geneseo … father was born in Germany and mother is from Jamaica … holds dual citizenship in both the U.S. and Jamaica and plans to compete internationally … enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business, majoring in Marketing.
