AS A FRESHMAN (2024)

  • Made 12 appearances in her freshman campaign, starting a pair of games
  • Struck out 16 hitters in 16.0 innings
  • Picked up two saves and earned a 5.69 ERA
  • Began her career with a 0.2 inning, one strikeout performance to earn her first career save in the first game of her career (Feb. 9)
  • Threw an inning in back-to-back appearances against Samford, striking out two in each (Feb. 16 & 17)
  • Season-high 4.0 innings in her first career start against Virginia Tech (March 3)
  • Earned her second career save, throwing 2.0 innings with a strikeout against Indiana State (March 8)
  • Logged an inning-plus in her second start against Bowling Green, striking out a season-high four hitters (March 12)
  • Tied her season-high for strikeouts in her next appearance, throwing 2.0 innings against Virginia (April 5)
  • Closed her rookie season with a 1.1 inning performance with two strikeouts

PREP AND PERSONAL

  • Attended Central Cambria High under head coach Megan James
  • She was a two-time All-Laurel Highlands selection
  • Named First Team All-state as a senior, striking out 159 hitters and owning a 0.36 ERA
  • Struck out 202 hitters as a junior and set a school record with 245 strikeouts as a sophomore
  • Competed with the Hotshots club team in 2023 under coach Nathan Nelson where they placed fifth out of 96 teams in the PGF Nationals
  • Also played club softball with the Beverly Bandits during the 2022 season under coach Bill Conroy where they placed second in the national championship tournament
  • Taught weekly softball clinics in April of 2023 at ERA Sports, a non-profit organization in Latrobe, Pennsylvania
  • Member of the National Honor Society, interact club, yearbook advisor and was a student council homeroom representative
  • Is also a personal trainer with a Crossfit gym in Johnstown, Pa., working with kids and adults
  • Daughter of Amanda and Todd Kamzik
