• Volleyball letterwinner at Vestavia High School.
• Helped lead team to a runner-up finish at the 6A state championships as a senior captain.
• Was honored with the Thompson Reynolds and U.S. Army Reserve National Female Scholar Athlete awards.
• Started as a middle blocker in first season on the varsity squad during junior season.
• Participated on the club volleyball level with Team Sting.
• Was a National Merit Scholar Finalist, and a 2012 bronze level Presidential Volunteer Award recipient.
• Served as president of the Spirit of America Club and secretary of the German Honors Society.

PERSONAL: 

• Daughter of Mark and Susan Trankina, along with her brother, Mark.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Letters as an mathematics and statistics major.
