#9 Madison Mote 2020-21 Women's Lacrosse Roster

AS A SENIOR:

• Played in all 19 games for the Irish scoring 24 goals with six assists for 30 points, and tallied three hat tricks.
• Picked up 14 ground balls, 36 draw controls, and 15 caused turnovers.

AS A JUNIOR:

• After missing the first two games of the season, appeared in the final 16 games and totaled 11 goals and 14 points.
• Also added five ground balls and three draw controls.
• In her first game action since 2019, recorded a hat trick at Syracuse (March 14).
• Also collected a hat trick in the NCAA First Round vs. Robert Morris (May 14).

AS A SOPHOMORE:

• Did not see any game action as a sophomore due to injury.

AS A FRESHMAN: 

• Appeared in 12 games as a freshman, and started one contest for the Irish. 
• Totaled 11 points on nine goals and two assists. 
• Collected six ground balls, three draw controls and one caused turnover.
• Netted her first career hat trick in a 15-13 win vs. Virginia Tech.

PREP AND PERSONAL:

• Graduated from Bishop Ireton in June of 2018… four-year letterwinner in lacrosse, three-year letterwinner in soccer and also earned a letter in cross country… named 2018 All-State Player of the Year and Conference (WCAC) Player of the Year… also named an Under Armour All-American during her senior season… 2018 All-ILWomen High School Team…  three-time state champion (2015, 2017-18) and won three-straight conference championships (2016-18)… tallied 76 goals, 110 draw controls, and 37 ground balls during her senior campaign… also earned All-Met and Alexandria Sportsman Club Player of the Year honors in 2018… named a Top 40 Young Gun Senior prior to this season and was on the All-IL Women preseason team.
• Earned the Ben Carson Scholarship during her junior year… member of the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) and Best Buddies… also a member of the National Honor Society.
• Born in Alexandria, Va… daughter of Jill and Steve Mote… has two siblings; Riley and Jackson… intends to major in business.
