AS A SENIOR: Made seven appearances between the fall and spring seasons in both singles and doubles … tallied a 2-5 record in singles while posting a matching mark in doubles … notched first singles win of the year with a 6-2, 5-7, 6-1 win over Detroit’s Valeriya Kulikovskaya at the USTA/ITA Midwest Regional Championships … also defeated Detroit’s Nynke Van Der Goot 6-2, 6-4 during dual play … won first doubles match of the year with Allison Miller in an 8-4 decision over Tulane’s Emily Dvorak and Kyla Klier at the Notre Dame Invitational … earned a monogram
AS A JUNIOR: Notched an 8-5 singles record and a 9-8 doubles mark between the fall and spring seasons … turned in a 4-1 record in dual singles play, mainly at the No. 6 slot … posted a 2-1 record in ACC singles play … won four of first six singles matches to start the fall campaign, while all singles wins came in straight sets throughout the season … topped No. 64 Virginia Tech’s Tea Ivanovic 6-0, 6-0 in Notre Dame’s 7-0 win on senior day … appeared in 11 dual matches at No. 3 doubles, including 10 with Mary Closs … notched five dual doubles wins while losing two in tiebreakers … earned a monogram.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Named a BIG EAST Academic All-Star … achieved a 14-12 singles record (10-8 dual) and a 10-6 doubles mark in first season with the Irish … logged a 3-1 doubles record at the adidas Hoosier Classic with teammate Quinn Gleason … downed Purdue’s Daniela Vidal (4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 1-0 (10-4) to finish with a 1-2 singles record at the adidas Hoosier Classic … advanced to the round of 32 in singles after defeating Michigan State’s Catherine Parenteau (6-3, 6-1) at the USTA/ITA Midwest Regional Championships … reached the round of 16 with teammate Katherine White after defeating Toledo 8-6 at the USTA/ITA Midwest Regionals … posted 2-1 singles record at the WMU Super Challenge … ultimately fell to Indiana’s Sophie Garre in a tight three-set thriller (6-4, 2-6, 0-1 (8-10)) … finished the Super Challenge with victories over Bowling Green’s Maddie Eccleston (6-7 (5), 6-4, 1-0 (10-4)) and Marquette’s Laia Hernandez Soier (6-2, 6-2) … remained a perfect 2-0 in doubles with teammate Jennifer Kellner at the Western Michigan tournament … won first regular season singles match at the number six position against Bowling Green’s Katie Brozovich (4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8)) … swept Illinois’ Audrey O’Connor in straight sets (6-2, 6-3) … pushed winning streak to three matches after defeating Jasmine Minor from No. 22 Georgia Tech (7-6 (3), 6-3) … earned a three-set comeback win over No. 25 Tennessee’s Tiffany Tavares (5-7, 6-4, 6-4) … shut out Western Michigan’s Kelsey King (6-2, 6-0) … utilized a second-set tiebreak to outlast DePaul’s Jarret Fisher (5-2, 7-6 (7-4)) … came back from a set down against Mimi Nguyen from No. 10 Michigan (3-6, 6-4, 6-2) … won a back-and-forth tilt against Marquette’s Ali Dawson (6-3, 6-7 (4), 10-6) … won first two doubles matches of the spring with partner Julie Sabacinski, defeating Bowling Green’s Jade Johnson and Mary Hill (8-5) and Illinois’ Allison Falkin and Julia Jamieson (8-3) … duo later blanked Jesse Grace and Mimi Fotopoulos from No. 25 Tennessee (8-0).
AS A FRESHMAN (Virginia): Appeared in 42 matches as a freshman at Virginia … posted a 16-9 singles record, and a 14-8 mark in doubles play … won her first six matches during the fall tournament slate … four of the six victories were decided in the third set … claimed the Flight B singles title at the UVA Fall Invitational with a 6-4, 6-3 win over VCU’s Darla Yakauleva … won all four of her matches at the Kitty Harrison Invitational, downing North Carolina’s Jennifer Stone 6-2, 6-1 to close the event … opened the spring season with three consecutive wins at number six singles … began the fall doubles schedule with partner Caryssa Peretz (8-7 record) … the duo opened the season with five straight wins … played final seven doubles matches with five different partners.
HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Reached the quarterfinals of the 2009 Junior Orange Bowl International Tennis Championship … received the 2010 Bill Talbert Junior Sportsmanship Award, presented by the USTA to a junior player in good standing who exemplifies sportsmanship in tournament play … ranked in the top 15 nationally of every age group throughout junior tennis … graduated from Heritage Academy in Hilton Head, S.C., in 2011 … member of the National Honor Society and served as vice president of her senior class … daughter of Scott and Gail O’Koniewski … has one brother, Jack … mother Gail was a captain on the tennis team at Boston University … aunt Dianna McCarthy Zipoli played tennis at North Carolina … grandfather John McCarthy played football at Boston College … majoring in American studies in the College of Arts and Letters.
