AS A JUNIOR: Turned in a historically great season at the top of the Irish singles lineup … advanced to the semifinals at the NCAA Singles Championship, the first Notre Dame men’s tennis student-athlete to do so since the team and individual championships became separate in 1977, and the first to do so at all since 1959 (Maxwell Brown) … met all three possible ITA All-America criteria (only one needed) by earning a top 16 seed in the NCAA Singles Championships (9-16), advancing to the round of 16 (semifinalist) and finishing in the Oracle/ITA singles rankings top 20 (No. 7) … became the first Irish All-American since Stephen Bass in 2008 … claimed the third-highest year-end singles ranking in program history … named First Team All-ACC … amassed a 33-7 overall singles record between fall and spring seasons, including a 20-3 dual singles mark and a 10-2 ACC record … went 19-5 against nationally ranked foes … kicked off the fall season with three wins in four matches at the Fighting Illini Invitational … qualified for the main draw at the ITA All-American Championships, where he defeated USC’s No. 33 Roberto Quiroz (6-0, 7-5) in the first round before falling to Georgia’s No. 12 Austin Smith … won eight of his first 10 matches to begin the dual season (one unfinished), which included a seven-match win streak … bounced back from a streak-ending loss to Louisville’s Seb Stiefelmeyer to win 12 straight, with wins over eight ranked opponents … defeated No. 3 Ryan Shane of Virginia in an impressive 7-6(4), 6-3 win at the Courtney Tennis Center that saw him come back from a 1-5 first-set deficit … was named ACC Player of the Week (March 24) after his wins over Shane and Georgia Tech’s No. 66 Christopher Eubanks (6-4, 7-6(4)) … also defeated No. 11 Nicolas Alvarez of Duke (7-5, 5-7, 10-6) and No. 12 Brayden Schnur of North Carolina (6-3, 0-6, 6-2) during the span … looked dominant in first four matches of the NCAA Singles Championship … knocked off No. 33 Farris Gosea of Illinois 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 to open play … again defeated USC’s Quiroz (now No. 25) 6-4, 6-4 … felled Oklahoma State’s No. 32 Jakob Sude 6-2, 6-4 in the Round of 16 … bounced back to beat TCU’s No. 39 Cameron Norrie in the quarterfinal, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 … eventually fell to eventual national champion Shane 6-4, 6-1 in the semifinal … named the ITA Midwest Player to Watch … over the summer was selected to take part in the American Collegiate Invitational (during the US Open) and the Oracle/ITA Masters tournament during the fall of his senior year … named to the All-ACC Academic Men’s Tennis Team … earned a monogram.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Came back after a stellar freshman year for a standout sophomore campaign … went 8-8 at No. 2 singles and 5-0 at No. 3 singles … logged a 5-5 record at No. 3 doubles with various partners … named third-team All-ACC and to the 2014 ACC All-Academic Team … notched a notable 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 win over Brett Clark of No. 8 North Carolina … also defeated Blake Davis of No. 28 Florida State, 6-2, 6-0 … his 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory over Stefan Lindmark clinched the Irish win over No. 38 Ole Miss in order advance to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Championship … recorded a 4-0 streak in the late spring in a tough ACC schedule … advanced to the quarterfinals of the USTA Collegiate Clay Court Invitational … faced off against teammate Josh Hagar in the finals of the ITA Summer Circuit … earned a monogram.

AS A FRESHMAN: Turned in an impressive spring season with an 18-4 mark (13-4 at No. 2) including a nine-match winning streak near the end of the season … named BIG EAST Freshman of the Year … two of five singles losses came to opponents ranked in the top 10 … picked up 13 wins playing at the No. 2 position … went 5-2 in doubles action in the spring … was named BIG EAST Player of the week on January 29th … clinched the BIG EAST title for the Irish with a win over Albert Wagner of Louisville … opened Irish career with an 8-4 mark in singles and a 3-4 record in doubles during the fall season … won first two singles matches of career at the OFCC Invitational, defeating Julian Childers of Illinois (6-1, 6-0) and David Sofaer of Pepperdine (6-4, 1-6, 6-3) … won a pair of matches at the Tom Fallon Invitational and a match at the USTA/ITA Midwest Singles Championship … went 3-0 at the Tribe Invitational in singles to earn all-tournament team accolades … won six of eight singles matches in straight sets … won a doubles contest at the OFCC Invitational, the Tom Fallon Invitational and the USTA/ITA Midwest Doubles Championship … teamed with Wyatt McCoy and Ryan Bandy during the fall … a member of the BIG EAST All-Academic team … earned a Monogram.
