AS A SENIOR (2011): Named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Great Lakes all-region first team for the second straight season after missing the first month and a half of the season due to injury … tabbed to the all-BIG EAST first team for the first time … set a single-season program record with a .472 batting average (42-for-89), adding eight doubles, two triples and 15 RBI in only 32 games … concluded career as the all-time Notre Dame leader with a career .388 batting average (175-for-451), and at graduation ranked eighth in triples (eight), 16th in slugging percentage (.499) and 22nd in fielding percentage (.971) … collected a pinch-hit single in each of first three games of the season against Providence (April 2-3) … went a combined 3-for-5 (.600) with an RBI in a BIG EAST doubleheader at Syracuse (April 10) … picked up a pair of hits, including a triple, and drove in two runs in a doubleheader against Bowling Green (April 12) … chipped in a total of six hits (.667 average) during weekend BIG EAST series at Melissa Cook Stadium against Louisville (April 16-17) … logged a double in four out of five contests from the Louisville series through Villanova (April 21) the following week … went a perfect 4-for-4 (all singles) in the second game of a doubleheader at USF (April 27) … ended the season on a 13-game hitting streak, which began with a 2-for-3 outing, a triple, an RBI and a run scored in the second game of the day against St. John[apos]s (April 30) … recorded two base hits and a pair of RBI against Pittsburgh (May 4) … combined 7-for-11 (.636) in three-game BIG EAST series at Connecticut (May 7-8) … registered two hits, including a double, and added two RBI in the first round of the BIG EAST Championship against Providence (May 12).

AS A JUNIOR (2010): Proved time and time again why she is one of the most durable and dominate outfielders in the BIG EAST Conference … rock solid in leftfield with a 1.000 fielding pct., tossing in five assists and 82 putouts … ranked 48th nationally with a .397 batting average (eighth-best in school history) … also the 10th-toughest player in the nation to strike out, fanning just eight times in 184 at-bats … ranked seventh in the nation with a team-best six triples … tied for team-high honors with 17 doubles (tied for first on the single-season charts) while pacing the squad with 73 hits (tied for sixth) … BIG EAST Championship All-Tournament team … two-time BIG EAST Player of the Week (March 15, March 29) … had one hit in each of Notre Dame[apos]s three games at the Southern Miss Mizuno Classic (Feb. 20-21) … two hits in each of Notre Dame[apos]s contests versus George Washington (Feb. 26-27) … scored twice against the Colonials in the second affair with two RBI, two stolen bases and a sacrifice … scored at least one run in seven straight games from Feb. 26-March 10, and 11 straight from March 13-28 (including seven runs and seven hits during a three-game series at Seton Hall to wrap up the streak) … had two hits in four straight games from March 6-12 … 3-for-4 with two runs scored, one double and one triple … the triple against the Rebels was her fourth in seven games … three hits and two runs against both Western Michigan (March 18) and Eastern Michigan (March 23) … three-RBI outputs against Eastern Michigan and at both ends of the three-game series at Seton Hall … saw her school-best – and nation-leading – 26-game hitting streak come to a close against Rutgers (April 3), as she struck out in her final at-bat after being plunked in her first two plate appearances … the strikeout was her first in 43 trips to the dish … doubled and scored versus USF (April 10) … two of her three hits at DePaul (April 22) were good for two bases … imploded for 13 hits in 19 at-bats across six games from April 24-29 … that streak included nine runs, five RBI and three doubles … doubled twice against Bowling Green (April 28) … 4-for-4 with a double and scored three times versus Wisconsin (April 29) … had 19 hits in 29 at-bats across her last nine games heading into a three-game series at St. John[apos]s (May 8-9) … calmed the Red Storm with four hits and three runs scored to close the regular season on a nine-game hitting streak … was walked (unintentional) against the Red Storm, snapping a career streak between unintentional walks to 273 plate appearances … only other walk in 2010 was an intentional pass … drove in two runs with a double against Providence (May 13) at the BIG EAST Tournament.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2009): Saw her second season come to an abrupt end after 23 games while playing with an injured knee … started in each of her appearances, splitting time at second base and shortstop … reached base at a .364 clip with a .329 batting average … posted a .356 slugging percentage … four multi-hit contests … reached base safely in 19 games … averaged just over one hit per game … scored nine times while driving in five more runs … two doubles and two stolen bases … 2-for-2 with a stolen base against East Carolina (Feb. 14) … seven-game hitting streak lasted from Feb. 21-March 10 … that included back-to-back three-hit efforts against Texas Tech (March 7) and UC Santa Barbara (March 7) … season-high five putouts came against Penn State (March 12) … 3-for-4 with two RBI, one double and four runs scored against Toledo (March 18), tying the school record for runs scored in a single game … drove in a run and had one hit during her only BIG EAST series of the season against St. John[apos]s (March 22) … twice recorded four assists.

AS A FRESHMAN (2008): Started at catcher for the first 31 games of the season until a knee injury halted her action for the remainder of the 2008 campaign … led the team in batting average (.343), runs scored (23), hits (36) and stolen bases (10) before her injury … was second in doubles (5), triples (1) total bases (43) … she tied for fifth-best in the league in runs scored and hits heading into her final game of the season at Seton Hall (April 6) … averaged better than 1.16 hits/game … had three hits in five at-bats with three stolen bases in her collegiate debut against Utah (Feb. 16) … scored once and drove in two runs with a pair of doubles against Western Kentucky (Feb. 17) … had a pair of hits versus Gardner-Webb (Feb. 22) … scored each of Notre Dame[apos]s two runs against Florida (Feb. 23) … despite not recording a hit, she scored three times against Pacific (March 1) and swiped a bag … had two hits in an affair with UC Davis (March 1) … went head-to-head with her sister, Amanda, when Notre Dame faced CS Northridge (March 9) … Amanda, who started at third for the Matadors, ended the game without a hit … Sadie, however, connected on a fifth-inning double that plated a pair of runs to propel Notre Dame to its 3-1 non-conference win … Sadie[apos]s game-winning hit was her only knock of the game … totaled nine hits during a nine-game West Coast swing from March 1-9 … strung together a 12-game hitting streak from March 7-March 30 which included multi-hit efforts against Towson (March 15), Charleston Southern (March 15), IUPUI (March 26) and DePaul (March 30) … tied with Katie Laing by recording a team-high seven hits at the Lowcountry Collegiate Softball Invitational (March 14-15) … matched a career-best with three runs scored at Charleston Southern (March 14) … two of those scores came in the same inning … went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored in her home debut against IUPUI (March 26) … cranked out three hits and tied a school record with seven official at-bats against St. John[apos]s (April 5) … also had a career-high 17 putouts against the Red Storm.

PREP AND PERSONAL: Prepped at Tomball (Texas) … a four-year starter and letterwinner in softball and volleyball … named team[apos]s best catcher in 2004 and best shortstop in 2005 … led Tomball to three consecutive conference and regional rankings … the team also garnered national rankings in 2004 (11th), 2005 (6th) and 2006 (9th) … as a senior, the three-time team MVP was also team captain … steadily increased her batting average in each of her first three seasons, capping at .462 in 2007 … four-time all-district choice … district MVP as a senior … helped Tomball reach Texas[apos] 5A championship game as a freshman and a third-place finish her sophomore year … Texas 5A first-team all-state tournament honoree on two occasions … four-time member of Houston Chronicle[apos]s All-Greater Houston first-team … received the Josh Beckett Award from the Houston RBI Foundation as the Texas high school player of the year as a senior … selected to the 2007 Texas Girls Coaches Association 5A All-Star Team … 2007 Louisville Slugger/NFCA High School All-American … academic all-state award winner in both volleyball and softball as a senior … won four Texas state titles with her club team, the Texas Peppers … also played travel ball with Sudden Impact Gold … hails from the same area as former Irish softball player Sara Schoonaert … National Merit Scholar … member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and a volunteer at Tomball Regional Hospital … daughter of Ron and Daina Pitzenberger … youngest of four children … has three older sisters: Holly, Angie, and Amanda … Amanda played softball at Cal State Northridge … graduated from Notre Dame with a dual degree in political science and computer applications.
