AS A SENIOR (2024-25)
- Swam three events at the Ohio State Fall Invitational, with the highlight being a 16:40.74 and 14th place finish in the 1650 free
- Earned a second place finish in the 1000 free against Louisville (9:57.73). Also swam the 500 (5:00.98)
- Placed fifth in the 1000 free at Indiana with a time of 10:25.05. Also swam the 500 free (5:07.23)
- Placed 10th in the 1000 free against Michigan and Wisconsin with a time of 10:18.45
- Opened the season with a second place finish in the 1000 free (10:21.40) against Miami (OH). Also swam the 500 free (5:08.15)
AS A JUNIOR (2023-24)
- Finished 15th in the 1650 free (16:41.65) and 21st in the 500 free (4:49.62) at the 2024 ACC Championships.
- Competed in the 500 free (4:55.63 ‚— a season-best) and the 200 fly (2:07.73) at the Tim Welsh Classic.
- Placed fourth in the 1000 free against Princeton and Navy with a time of 9:58.28. Also swam the 500 free (4:57.39) and 400 free relay
- Finished 15th in the 1500 free (16:58.08) and 13th in the 800 free (8:54.03) at the U.S. Open
- Finished sixth in the 1000 free at the Ohio State Fall Invitational with a time of 9:59.44. Finished ninth in the mile with a time of 16:42.56. Also posted a personal best time of 1:50.67 in the 200 free
- Placed fourth in the 1000 free (10:15.21) at Louisville. Also swam the 500 free (5:04.55)
- Competed in the 500 free (4:56.14), 1000 free (10:05.59) and 400 IM (4:37.17) against Pittsburgh and Penn State
- Finished fifth in the 1000 free (10:20.46) against Purdue. Also swam the 500 free (5:06.59)
AS A SOPHOMORE (2022-23)
- Participated in the 200 free (1:52.00) and 500 free (4:55.23) at ACCs, placed 12th in the 1650 free (16:38.01)
- Participated in the 400M free (4:32.76), 800M free (9:10.73) and 1500M free (17:29.09) 2022 Toyota U.S. Open
- Earned a third place finish in the 1650 free (16:43.11) against Navy and Princeton
AS A FRESHMAN (2021-22)
- Finished second i the 1650 freestyle (16:25.83) at the Ohio State Last Chance Meet. That time is eighth-fastest in program history.
- Won the 1000 freestyle (10:07.93) and finished runner-up in the 200 butterfly (2:08.78) at the dual meet against UIC.
- Placed second in the 1650 freestyle (16:37.24), third in the 500 freestyle (4:51.56) and fifth in the 200 freestyle (1:51.01) at the Tim Welsh Classic.
- Swam in the 1650 freestyle finals (16:35.34), 500 freestyle finals (4:52.60) and 200 freestyle finals (1:51.45) at the Ohio State Invitational.
- Placed second in the 1000 freestyle (10:06.95) and fourth in the 500 freestyle (5:01.62) at the dual meet against Purdue.
- Finished second in the 1000 freestyle (10:14.22) and third in the 500 freestyle (4:58.80) in her first collegiate meet against Pittsburgh and Cleveland State.
PREP AND PERSONAL
- Captain of Herricks team; named team MVP as a freshman
- Swam for Long Island Aquatic Club
- Named all-state, all-district and all-conference in all eligible years of high school.
- In 2019, was the division champion in the 200 Free and 500 Free.
- Best times: 200 Free SCY (1.50.99), 200 Free LCM (2.06.40), 500 Free SCY (4.48.16), 400 Free LCM (4.18.18), 1000 Free SCY (9.48.00), 800 Free LCM (8.48.12), 1650 Free SCY (16.20.20), 1500 Free LCM (16.39.40).
- Holds the Herricks High School records in the 200 Free and 500 Free.
- Won silver medal at the state championships in the 500 Free.
- Posted Olympic Trial cut in the 1500 Free
- 2021 USA Junior National Team member
- 2019 Junior National Champion in the 1500 Free; 2019 Champion Women’s Team at Junior Nationals, 2018 National Age Group Award in 1500 Free and 800 Free Relay.
- Earned the 2017 Senator Elaine Phillips Certificate of Merit Award in Swimming at Herricks.
- USA Swimming Scholastic All-American in 2018-19 and 2019-20
- Received the 2016 AHEPA Medal of Scholastic Excellence in Greek Language and Hellenic Culture
- Volunteers with a local homeless shelter, as well as Ryan’s Case for Smiles, a group that makes pillow cases doe young cancer patients.
- “I chose Notre Dame because it gave me the feeling of a very close-knit family environment. The history and sense of community and belonging is something that reasoned with me when I spent a weekend on campus. Notre Dame gave me that extra special feeling that I belonged here,” Karras said.
