AS A JUNIOR (2017-18):
• In his first meet of the season, placed third in the 100 breaststroke (:56.96) against No. 7 Louisville.
• Against Georgia Tech, finished third in the 100 breaststroke (:56.71).
• Placed fourth in the 100 breaststroke (:54.26) at the Ohio State Invitational.
• Finished first in the 100 breaststroke (:56.74) and second in the 200 breaststroke (2:05.25) against Illinois and Iowa.
• In the dual meet with No. 20 Florida State, finished second in the 100 breaststroke (:56.19).
• Swam to a second-place finish in the 200 IM (1:52.46) at the tri-dual with Ball State and Green Bay.
• Competed in the 2018 ACC Championships where he posted the top times of his career in the 100 breaststroke (:53.30), 200 breaststroke (1:57.55) and 200 IM (1:46.83).
AS A SOPHOMORE (2016-17):
• Placed third in the 1000 freestyle (9:32.98) against Indiana State and Oakland.
• Finished second in the 500 freestyle (4:32.87) against Georgia Tech and Emory.
• At the meet with Miami (Fla.), Purdue, and Rutgers, placed third in both the 1000 freestyle (9:30.98) and the 100 breaststroke (:56.54).
• Against Iowa and Illinois, finished second in the 100 breaststroke (:57.75).
• Placed third in both the 100 breaststroke (:56.12) and the 200 breaststroke (2:03.64).
• Posted his top times of the season in the 100 breaststroke (:55.03), 200 breaststroke (1:59.22), and 200 IM (1:54.39) at the Ohio State Winter Invite.
AS A FRESHMAN (2015-16):
• Began the year at Dennis Stark Relays, finishing first in the 800 freestyle relay (1:44.10 split) and fourth in the 300 breaststroke relay (:58.69 split).
• Against Michigan State, earned second place in the 500 freestyle (4:40.73) and third in the 1000 freestyle (9:34.44).
• At Virginia Tech, earned a pair of fifth-place finishes in the 400 IM (4:03.93) and 200 breaststroke (2:07.76), took sixth with the 800 freestyle relay (1:44.16 split) and eighth in the 200 IM (1:54.24).
• At Purdue Invitational, touched the wall 13th with the 400 freestyle relay (:46.11 split), 17th with the 400 medley relay (:56.61 split) and 18th in the 500 freestyle (4:34.23 finals, 4:39.78 prelims).
• Also clocked in at 1:55.63 in the 200 IM, 2:08.57 in the 200 breaststroke and swam to 20th in the 400 IM (4:03.11 finals, 4:06.13 prelims).
• Against Virginia, exhibitioned in 200 IM (1:52.84) and finished third in 400 IM (4:03.54).
• Versus Northwestern, touched in fourth in 1000 free (9:40.90) and fifth in 200 IM (1:55.38).
• At Shamrock Invitational, finished 10th in 200 breaststroke (2:06.92), 11th in the 100 breaststroke (:58.36) and with 200 medley relay (:26.74 split) and took 13th in 400 IM (4:09.11) and 16th in 200 IM (1:54.86).
• Swam at the ACC Championships, clocking in at 1:49.42 in 200 IM, 3:56.65 in 400 IM and earning 24th in 200 breaststroke (2:00.86 finals, 2:00.61 prelims).
• Honored with as the Beeler-Hipp award recipient for the men’s team.
PREP & PERSONAL:
• Swam at Junior and Summer Finals.
• Placed fifth overall at March NCSA Junior Nationals.
• Four-time silver medalist at national meets.
• Selected to swim at NCSA v. Itoman meet.
• Attended the Eastern Diversity Select Camp and the National Diversity Select Camp, held at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
• During sophomore season set school record in 800 freestyle relay and 100 butterfly, winning first-team All-South Jersey accolades in the 100 breaststroke.
• As a junior, named second-team all-state in 200 freestyle and was a finalist for All-South Jersey Swimmer of the Year award.
• Earned All-South Jersey accolades junior season in 200 freestyle.
• As a freshman, placed ninth in both the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke at New Jersey state meet.
• As a sophomore, finished ninth in 100 breaststroke and 13th in 100 butterfly at state meet.
• Took second at New Jersey state meet in junior campaign in 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke.
• Currently holds school records in 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 freestyle, 400 freestyle relay and 400 medley relay.
• Honored as a high school All-American in the 100 breaststroke and 200 IM.
• Graduated from Lenape High School in June 2015.
• Oldest child of ChiuMing Shek and Rae Han.
• Has one sister.
• Has visited Tianjin, China, on seven occasions, with each trip lasting for three months.
• Attended the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.
