As A Senior (2021-22)

• Competed at the 2022 ACC Championships in the 50 freestyle (20.61), 100 butterfly (47.28) and 200 butterfly.
• Smith qualified for the A Final in the 200 butterfly and finished eighth overall with a time of 1:44.63.
• Won the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:50.50 in the dual meet against UIC on Senior Day.
• Finished second in the 200 butterfly (1:46.69) and third in the 100 butterfly (47.60) at the Tim Welsh Classic.
• Made the finals and finished eighth in the 100 butterfly (1:45.48) and 15th in the 100 butterfly (47.75) at the Ohio State Invitational.
• Won the 200 butterfly (1:49.27) and finished sixth in the 100 butterfly (49.60) in the dual meet against Purdue.
• Finished fifth in the 200 butterfly (1:51.57) in the season-opening meet against Pittsburgh and Cleveland State.

As A Junior (2020-21)

• Placed first in the 200-yard Medley Relay with Brendan Santana, Josh Bottelberghe, and Cason Wilburn (1:27.97). Placed first in the 200-yard Butterfly (1:45.75). Placed second in the 100-yard Butterfly (47.99). Placed second in the 400-yard Medley Relay with Brendan Santana, Tyler Christianson, and Sadler McKeen (3:14.20) in the virtual meet vs. West Virginia (Nov. 6-7, 2020).
• Placed first in the 200-yard Medley Relay with Jack Fitzpatrick, Josh Bottelberghe, and Topher Stensby (1:28.06). Placed first in the 200-yard Butterfly (1:46.33). Placed fifth in the 100-yard Butterfly (49.35). Placed fifth in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay with Liam Smith, Luke Thornbrue, and Charles Korndorffer (3:06.41) in the dual meet win vs. Cincinnati (Dec. 4, 2020).
• Placed fourth in the 200-yard Medley Relay with Kaden Smesko, Tyler Christianson, and Cason Wilburn (1:29.76). Placed second in the 200-yard Butterfly (1:48.07). Placed fourth in the 100-yard Butterfly (48.65). Placed fifth in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay with Luke Uttley, Josh Bottelberghe, and Stephan Lukashev (3:07.94) in the dual meet vs. No. 13 Louisville (Jan. 9, 2021).
• Placed third in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay with Josh Bottelberghe, Kaden Smesko, and Liam Hutchinson (1:22.63). Placed sixteenth in the 50-yard Freestyle (22.01). Placed second in the 400-yard Medley Relay with Brendan Santana, Tyler Christianson, and Sadler McKeen (3:13.25). Placed third in the 200-yard Medley Relay with Kaden Smesko, JP Backer, and Stephan Lukashev (1:30.38). Participated in the 100-yard Backstroke (49.75) in the dual meet win over West Virginia (Jan. 29-30, 2021).
• Placed twenty-fourth in the 100-yard Butterfly (47.40). Placed twenty-eighth in the 100-yard Backstroke prelim (48.02). Placed thirteenth in the 200-yard Butterfly (1:45.40) in Notre Dame’s seventh-place finish at the ACC Championships (Feb. 24-27, 2021).
• Placed 34th in the 100 Fly and 21st in the 200 Fly at the NCAA Championships (March 24-27, 2021).

• Placed first in the 100-yard Butterfly (48.52).  Placed second in the 200-yard Medley Relay with Jack Montesi, Josh Bottelberghe, and Aaron Schultz (1:29.13).  Placed second in the 200-yard Butterfly (1:49.46) vs. Florida State.
• Placed fourth in the 100-yard Butterfly (48.97).  Participated in the 200-yard Medley Relay with Jack Montesi, Matthew Limbacher, and Aaron Schultz (1:29.69). Participated in the 200-yard Butterfly (1:49.11) vs. Kentucky and IU.
• Placed first in the 200-yard Medley Relay with Jack Montesi, Matthew Limbacher, and Aaron Schultz (1:29.07).  Placed first in the 200-yard Butterfly (1:48.88).  Placed second in the 100-yard Butterfly (48.69) vs. Purdue.
