The third-place 1V8 finish marks the best for the program at the ACC Championship since four consecutive second-place finishes from 2014-17.
Isalina Colsman was named the ACC Newcomer of the Year, becoming the first from the program to earn the honor since Emily Stinebaugh in 2017. Junior Natalie Hoefer earned first-team All-ACC accolades, while classmate Margaret Newell landed on the second team.
All five Notre Dame boats qualified for the Grand Final on Saturday morning, with the 1V4, 2V4, 1V8 and 3V8 all finishing second in their respective heats to gain a lane advantage in the finals.
Syracuse, which tied with Virginia for overall points in the regatta with 90, earned the tiebreaker by virtue of their first-place finish by the 1V8. The Syracuse ACC title breaks a streak of 13 consecutive ACC Championships posted by Virginia.
