The University of Notre Dame softball team’s match up with Loyola was called in the third inning due to heavy rain on Thursday afternoon.

The two schools will not be making up the date this season. The Irish remain 20-9 on the season and enter the Hoosier Invitational in Bloomington, Ind., this weekend.
