The University of Notre Dame softball team’s BIG EAST opener, a doubleheader at Rutgers, has been rained out on Saturday, April 2. The Irish and Scarlet Knights have not finalized their plans to make up the two games, though Notre Dame might remain on the east coast to play the games on Monday.

Notre Dame will hope to play its doubleheader with Villanova on Sunday at 11 a.m.
