NOTRE DAME, Ind. – This weekend’s Atlantic Coast Conference softball series between Notre Dame and Syracuse has been canceled due to unplayable field conditions at the Skytop Softball Stadium in Syracuse, N.Y. In addition, no other stadium in the area could accommodate the series as a result of expected inclement weather.

Seven of Notre Dame’s last eight scheduled games have been impacted by weather, including last weekend’s ACC home opening series against Pittsburgh that was to be played at Melissa Cook Stadium. The scheduling of makeup dates for that series, and Thursday’s non-conference matchup against Northwestern that was postponed due to rain, is still ongoing, and the status of those games will be announced when finalized.
