AT NOTRE DAME (2012-PRESENT):  One-year monogram winner … missed the 2013 season after surgery on right elbow … continued to work back from injury in 2014 … competitive, hardworking player that has shown perseverance throughout recovery.

HONORS & AWARDS: ACC Academic Honor Roll (2014).

JUNIOR SEASON (2014): Made four appearances as a relief pitcher for the Irish in first action back after right elbow surgery as a sophomore … pitched four innings, allowing four runs on eight hits … struck out four batters on the year … made first appearance of the season in game two at No. 24 Florida Atlantic (Feb. 15) going two innings and striking out three batters … went back-to-back appearances without surrendering a run against Incarnate Word (Feb. 22) and Wake Forest (March 30) … pitched a third of an inning at No. 1 Florida State (April 6) … named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2013):  Did not pitch during sophomore campaign as he recovered from right elbow surgery.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2012):  Made seven appearances (two starts) … went 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA … allowed 15 hits in 11.0 innings of work as opposing batters hit .341 … struck out nine and walked nine … inherited four base runners upon entering the game and allowed three to score … walked a pair, hit a batter and allowed an earned run in his collegiate debut against Illinois (Feb. 17), but rebounded with three consecutive scoreless relief outings (Hofstra-2 on Feb. 25; at Texas State on March 2 and Eastern Michigan on March 20) … struck out six in first career start against Western Michigan (April 11) … struggled with command in final outing of the season against Valparaiso on May 2 (3.2 IP, 5 H, 4 ER, 4 BB) … earned a monogram.

PREP & PERSONAL:  Three-year letterwinner at Manalapan H.S. in Manalapan, New Jersey … finished Manalapan career with a 19-2 record … went 5-0 with a 1.55 ERA in 2011 … named first team all-division in baseball in 2011 … first team all-district in basketball in 2011 … named first team all-State Group 4, first team all-Shore and Monmouth County Player of the Year in 2010 … chosen A-North Division Pitcher of the Year, first team all-district, first team all-A-North Division in 2010 … went 9-0 with 1.29 ERA in 2010 … allowed only two extra base hits all season … named to the Carpenter Cup Shore All-Star Team … 2010 Manalapan High School Pitcher of the Year … named 2010 Perfect Game Pitcher of the Tournament – Northeast Qualifier … named 2009 first team all-district in baseball … went 5-2 with a 2.22 ERA … full name is Kyle Austin Rubbinaccio … son of Robert and Marjorie Rubbinaccio … has two brothers, Robby and Eric … enrolled in Mendoza College of Business as a marketing major.
