Sydni Meunier 2015-16 Cross Country Roster

AWARDS/ACCOLADES:

• ACC Performer of the Week, Sept. 10, 2013.
• 2013 BIG EAST Academic All-Star.

AS A GRADUATE STUDENT:

• Recorded a PR in the 1500m with a time of 4:30.00 at the Raleigh Relays (outdoor).
• Had a season best time of 10:29.88 in the 3000m steeplechase event (outdoor).

AS A SENIOR:

• Did not compete during the cross country or track season.

AS A JUNIOR:

• Started the track season with a second-place finish in the 3,000 meter at the Simmons- Harvey Invitational (9:50.82).
• Snagged a sixth-place finish in the steeplechase at the Virginia Challenge (10:20.32).
• Earned a monogram.

AS A SOPHOMORE:

• Took first place out of 33 runners in the Crusader Invitational 5K (17:57.7), a performance that earned her ACC Performer of the Week.
• Earned a cross country monogram.
• Competed in the ACC Indoor Championships (4:51.88).

AS A FRESHMAN:

• Took third place at the Crusader Invitational 5K (18:10.2).
• Helped the 4x800m relay team take first at the Indiana Relays.
• Finished second in the 1000m run at the Blue & Gold Invitational.

PREP AND PERSONAL:

• Graduated from Gibson City Melvin-Sibley High School (Melvin, III.) in the spring of 2012.
• Eight-time letterwinner in volleyball and track.
• Was state champion in the 1600m run, 800m run (2011, 2012) and in the 4x400m relay (2012).
• Named Wendy’s High School Heisman State Finalist and Conference Female Athlete of the Year in 2012.
• Helped track team finish as 1A runner-up by setting seven school records senior year.
• Named team MVP in volleyball three times.
• Earned second team all-conference in volleyball.
• Named valedictorian, foreign language student of the year, science student of the year, math student of the year and top community service student.
• Born in Palo Heights, Ill.
• Enrolled in the College of Science and is a Science-Business major.
