AS A SENIOR: Went 16-13 on the season … went 13-6 at the DeCicco Duals … also competed at the Penn Elite Invitational and Northwestern Duals … named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
AS A JUNIOR: Went 11-3 on the season … competing solely at the DeCicco Duals … named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Fenced in the DeCicco Duals, earning 12-2 record … beat Rachel Grabowski of Cleveland State 5-2 … earned 5-0 win against Megan DeCleene and 5-2 victory against Shelby Guinn of Lawrence … lost to Detroit’s Katie Lang 5-3 but beat her teammate Nicole Fitch 5-0 … lost 5-3 to Rachel Shumacher of Wisconsin but beat Badger teammate Ania Nguyen 5-1 … earned three wins against Michigan State foes Zandra Russell (5-4) Emily Titus (5-1) and Victoria Kulesza (5-4), finishing the day with a 5-0 routing of Michigan’s Jessica Deese … named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
AS A FRESHMAN: Did not compete for the Irish.
PREP & PERSONAL: Graduated from Center Grove High School in May of 2012 … competed with her club team, IndySabre Fencing, throughout high school … as a sophomore finished in second place at the Midwest Regionals … was a finalist in several state-sponsored competitions, including piano and science fair events … earned ISSMA Gold Rating for Piano and Flute skill level … was a 15-time county 4H Grand Champion … went to same high school as current Irish softball player Kimmy Sullivan … born to James and Anna Sluka … has two siblings, brother Justin and sister Christina … enrolled in the college of arts and letters, majoring in anthropology.
