AS A SENIOR:
- Posted a season record of 35-17 through all six contests
- Opened the season with an 8-4 record at the Elite Invitational
- Finished the NYU Invitational with an 8-2 record
- Concluded his senior season at the ACC CHampionships with a record of 6-3
AS A JUNIOR:
- Competed at all five regular-season meets, going 24-12 overall
- Turned in a 12-1 sheet at the DeCicco Duals for his most impressive performance of the year
- Earned a monogram
AS A SOPHOMORE:
- Went 29-12 on the season
- Finished in ninth place at the NCAA Midwest Regional
- Placed 11th during individual competition at the ACC Championships
- Went 7-2 during the team event at the ACC Championships to help the Irish men capture their second straight ACC title
- Went 5-3 at the Penn Elite Invitational
- Placed 36th at the Penn State Open
- Went a perfect 10-0 at the DeCicco Duals
- Went 7-7 at the Northwestern Duals
- Earned a monogram
AS A FRESHMAN:
- Finished 22nd in NCAA Championship as one of five freshmen competing for the Irish
- Etched a 50-31 record in his first season
- In ACC Championship, finished with 5-10 record individually to finish 11th
- At NCAA Championship, sported a 8-15 record, good for 22nd place
- Earned a monogram
PREP AND PERSONAL:
- Competed independently on the national level
- Graduated from Cathedral in May of 2014
- While at Cathedral, earned varsity letters in lacrosse
- As a freshman earned a 6th-place finish at cadet Junior Olympics in fencing
- In sophomore season, placed 3rd at cadet World Cup in France and 2nd at cadet Junior Olympics
- Also played on high school lacrosse team that finished second in state championship
- As a junior, took 8th place at Junior Olympics in addition to earning 9th, 10th and 11th place finishes at North America Cup (NAC) junior competitions
- Also played on high school lacrosse team that won state championship
- In senior campaign, placed in top 32 at junior World Cup competition and came in 5th at Junior Olympics
- Finished 3rd at Div. 1A USFA Summer Nationals event
- Biggest athletic thrills to date remain competing in state lacrosse championships and taking third in cadet World Cup and second in cadet Junior Olympics competitions
- Outside of sports was captain of school’s latin dance team and was involved with the Day Without Shoes campaign and National Honors Society
- Oldest child of Thomas and Kristin Hanahan
- Has one younger sister, Gabriella
- Has familial ties to Notre Dame as father graduated from the University in 1983 and mother graduated from St. Mary’s in 1988
- Grandfather taught metallurgical engineering and material science for 17 years in the college of engineering and was Chair of the metallurgical and material science department
