AS A SENIOR:
- Competed solely at the DeCicco Duals and Northwestern Invitational, posting a 23-2 mark on the year
- Named the ACC Male Fencer of the Week Feb. 1, 2017, after going 17-1 over two days at the DeCicco Duals
AS A JUNIOR:
- Went 20-4 on the season, including a 13-4 record at the DeCicco Duals
- Went 7-0 at the Northwestern Duals
- Placed 41st at the Penn State Open to start the season
AS A SOPHOMORE:
- Fenced in only the DeCicco Duals, logging a 9-7 record
AS A FRESHMAN:
- Had an extremely successful initial campaign with the sabre team, compiling 22-9 record
- Earned a monogram
PREP & PERSONAL:
- Graduated from Montclair in June of 2013
- Earned three varsity letters with high school fencing team in addition to competing with Lilov Fencing Academy team
- As a freshman, took third place at Montclair freshman/sophomore Invitational
- Improved to second place in freshman/sophomore invite in second season with prep team and earned first varsity letter
- Team finished second at state championship meet
- In junior season, earned second varsity letter
- As a senior was voted team captain and fenced in New Jersey individual state championship
- Qualified for Junior Olympics and earned a C2013 rating in Lilov Lucky Shamrock Games – Sabre Div. II class
- Off the strip was named National AP Scholar and was recognized as an AP Scholar with Distinction … named national merit semi-finalist
- Crowned 2009 Piano Teachers Society of America `Grand Winner’ at Carnegie Hall
- Biggest thrill to date was performing Rhapsody in Blue with high school concert band – the performance stands as most work put into a single project
- Born to parents James and Jennifer Dwyer
- Has one older brother, Brendan
- Is the fourth member of his family to attend Notre Dame, as his geat-grandfather, grandfather and father all attended the University
- At Notre Dame, participates in the Design for America club and serves as Sorin College Sustainability Commissioner and event coordinator for the Engineering Honors Program Student Board
- Currently enrolled in the college of engineering, majoring in aerospace engineering
