AS A JUNIOR

• Compiled a 49-20 record after competing at all events this season
• Had a season best performance at the Northwestern Duals and finished with a 11-1 record
• Went a perfect 7-0 at the DeCicco Duals
• Earned bronze at the ACC Championships after defeating Marcello Olivares in the Foil Consolation match
• Competed during the team competition at the ACC Championships, going 7-2 to help the Irish capture the title
• Improved to 101-40 on his career

AS A SOPHOMORE

• Tied for third at the Penn State Garret Open to start the year
• Went 30-16 on the season
• Went 8-3 at the St. John’s Invitational
• Posted an 8-0 record at the DeCicco Duals
• Competed during the team competition at the ACC Championships, going 6-0 to help the Irish capture the title
• Improved to 55-24 in his Irish dual career

AS A FRESHMAN

• Competed in all five regular-season meets, accumulating a 25-8 record
• Made his Irish debut at the Elite Invitational where he went 2-2
• Posted a 3-0 record at the NYU Invitational
• Went undefeated at the DeCicco Duals, finishing with a 13-0 record
• Finished his rookie campaign with a 6-4 record at the Northwestern Duals

PREP AND PERSONAL

• Graduated from South Side High School in June 2017
• Member of the Brooklyn Bridge Fencing Club
• Has been fencing for 11 years entering freshman season
• Competed in first international competition as a high school freshman
• In 2016-17 ranked first in club in podium medal points, top 8 medal points and top 16 placement points
• Earned a bronze medal in Division I Men’s Foil at the 2017 national championships
• Member of the National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society and New York State Math Honor Society
• Member of service clubs: Homework Helpers, Leo Club and Habitat for Humanity
• Son of Annette and Joe Marino
• Has an older sister, Melissa
• Enrolled in the Mendoza School of Business with a major in Business Analytics
