SENIOR SEASON (2012-13):

Among most dominate front court players in the nation as a senior … tri-captain of team along with Eric Atkins and Scott Martin … averaged career bests of 13.1 points (Irish second-leading scorer) and 10.1 rebounds and was the only BIG EAST player to average double figures in conference play while averaging 12.4 points and 10.1 boards … also led the team with 41 blocked shots … earned first team all-BIG EAST honors … played and started all 35 contests and averaged a career-best 29.3 minutes per game … led the Irish in scoring on 13 occasions and in rebounding 27 times … recorded a BIG EAST-leading 19 double-doubles during the season and 32 during his career … scored 10 or more points 29 times during the season and grabbed 10-plus rebounds on 20 occasions … netted 20-plus points on four times during the season and eight times during his career … scored in double figures in a career-high 14 straight games during non-conference and BIG EAST play … ended the season 13th nationally in rebounding and fourth with his 19 double-doubles … registered first double-double of the campaign in the season opener against Evansville as he scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, in addition to blocking six shots … opened up the campaign by registering a double-double in three of the first four games …. named to the Coaches vs. Cancer All-Tournament Team after scoring 14 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in loss to St. Joseph[apos]s and then scoring 19 points and hauling in 13 rebounds in win over BYU … had a stretch early in non-conference play in which he posted four consecutive double-doubles that included a 15-point, 12-rebound effort against Purdue in the Crossroads Classic in Indianapolis, Ind. … closed out non-conference stretch in December by recording three consecutive double-doubles … had one of his best overall performances of the season against Niagara as he finished with 24 points and grabbed 15 rebounds while shooting nine-for-12 from the field … that come after a 14-point and 11-rebound performance against Kennesaw State as he finished five-of-six from the field … in BIG EAST opener against Seton Hall, scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in leading Irish to victory … helped Irish preserved 69-66 win over Rutgers by taking crucial charge at the end of the game … in addition to late-game heroics versus the Scarlet Knights, finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds … during key stretch in BIG EAST conference regular season, posted double figures in both scoring and rebounds in a career-high six straight games … in back-to-back victories against Villanova and DePaul scored 17 points and grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds versus the Wildcats and then scored a season-high 26 points and hauled in 16 boards in overtime win against Blue Demons on the road … in the victory against DePaul connected on a career-high eight free throws on 10 attempts … played a career-high 42 minutes of the contest in the overtime victory at DePaul … garnered BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll accolades three times … played in the Reese’s Division I College Senior All-Star Game … named Notre Dame Monogram Club MVP … garnered NABC District V first team honors and also was named to the Basketball Times Mideast All-District Team.
