AS A JUNIOR: Monogram winner … named to PING All-Midwest Region Team … selected as the BIG EAST Player of the Year, the first such honor bestowed upon an Irish golfer since the awards inception three years ago … named to the all-BIG EAST team … played in all 11 tournaments on the season as part of the Irish rotation … led the team at three of those 11 events … finished the year with a team-leading stroke average of 73.30 – 74.67 in the spring and 71.93 in the fall … saw 28 of his 30 rounds (.933) counted toward the team score … posted a total of 12 under- (8) or even-par (4) rounds on the year … four of his eight under-par rounds also broke 70 … enjoyed most success in his third rounds, finishing with a 72.56 average in the final 18 holes … posted lowest tournament of the season amongst the Irish with his 209 (-7) at the Firestone Invitational … in season opener at The Invite at Kiawah, finished in eighth place with a 220 (+4) … finished second amongst the Irish and tied for ninth overall at the Fighting Irish Gridiron Golf Classic with his 212 (+2) score … led the Irish and earned first top-five overall finish of the year at the Firestone Invitational, carding a 209 (-7) aided by a second round 67 (-5) … tied for 20th at the Lone Star Invitational after recording a 54-hole score of 220 (+4) … at the St. Mary[apos]s Invitational, finished tied for fourth with a one-over par 217 (72-74-71) … finished with a 12-over par 156 at the two-round Notre Dame vs. Yale Cup … at the Schenkel Invite, finished in a share of 67th with a 229 (+13) … second amongst Irish and tied for 31st overall at LSU National Invitational, recording a three-round score of 231 (+15) … became the first Irish golfer to earn medalist honors at the BIG EAST Championship in the current 54-hole format, finishing the tournament at 212 (-1) … the lone golfer in the BIG EAST field to conclude the tournament under par … ended season with a tie for 50th at the NCAA Southeast Regional after carding a three-day score of 223 (+7).

AS A SOPHOMORE: Earned a monogram … named to the 2010 all-BIG EAST Men[apos]s Golf Team … played in 11 events for the Irish in 2009-10 … led the team in terms of rounds counted towards team scoring, counting 26 out of 27 (.963) … posted a 73.96 stroke average, the second best mark on the team … notched three under-par rounds on the season, including two in the 60s … recorded seven even-par rounds, one of which came at the Battle at the Warren after notching an even-par 70 for his 18 holes … his other top-10 finish came at the 2009 Fighting Irish Gridiron Golf Classic (FIGCC) where he tied for 10th after shooting an eight-over par 218 (73-75-70) … his three rounds all counted towards team scoring at the FIGCC and helped Notre Dame to the team title … tied for first place after 54 holes of play at the 2010 BIG EAST Championship by shooting a two-over par (71-71-73=215), but lost in a four-man sudden victory playoff.

SUMMER 2008: Tied for 49th at Western Junior Championship in St. Simons Island, Ga. (Sea Island GC) with 12-over par 292 (73-70-75-74) … finished fifth at American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Future Legends in Wales, Wis. (The Legend at Brandybrook) with five-over 218 (75-73-70) … narrowly missed qualifying for Western Amateur, ending up one stroke off cut line with three-over par 73 at Notre Dame[apos]s Warren Golf Course.

PREP AND PERSONAL: Spent first three prep seasons at Francis Parker High School in Chicago, before moving to Notre Dame Prep in Scottsdale, Ariz., for his final year of high school … helped Notre Dame Prep to 2007 Arizona Class 4A-Division II state title by a whopping 60 strokes (golf is a fall sport in Arizona) as well as a perfect 42-0 dual-match record … finished as 2007 Arizona 4A-II individual runner-up at one-over par 145 (76-69) … named 2007 all-state selection and 4A-II Black Canyon Region Player of the Year after helping NDP to regional title and winning regional medalist honors at five-under par 137 … two-time all-state selection (2006, 2007) while at Francis Parker HS … finished in top 15 at Illinois Class A Tournament his final two seasons (seventh in 2006; 14th in 2007) … three-time Independent School League Player of the Year (2005-07) and all-conference selection … enjoyed success on Future Collegians World Tour (FCWT) … registered 76.72 stroke average in 21 career FCWT events (never missed a cut), with 13 top-20 finishes (nine in the Top 10) and a win at the 2007 Mission Hills Pete Dye Invitational at six-under par 134 (68-66) … named 2008 FCWT first-team All-American and Central Region Player of the Year after posting four top-10 finishes in 2007-08 season alone … tied for 21st on 2007-08 FCWT points list (boys 16-18) … also competed in 15 events on American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Tour, carding 78.07 stroke average with four top-20 finishes (two in the Top 10) … played for victorious USA squad in 2007 USA-Canada Junior Team matches; one of his USA teammates was Notre Dame classmate Chris Walker … graduated from the College of Arts and Letters with a degree in history.
