RECORD BOOK UPDATE: Recorded second-lowest 54-hole score in Irish NCAA history with 210 (-6) score at the 2011 NCAA Southeast Regional … earned second-highest NCAA Regional finish in program history with his share of 10th place … tied lowest round (vs. par) in program history with a seven-under 65 in first round of 2010 Firestone Invitational … owns the lowest career stroke average (minimum of 35 rounds played) in program history with his final mark of 73.17 … posted the second-lowest Notre Dame single-season stroke average in 2013-14 with a 72.25 average.

PREP AND PERSONAL: Graduated from Laguna Blanca School in Santa Barbara, Calif. … a decorated player on the junior circuit as well as a dominant scholastic player … a 2009 American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) HP Scholastic All-American and 2009-2010 Future Collegians World Tour (FCWT) Academic All-American … captained his high school squad and went undefeated all four years of league play, earning four consecutive league MVP honors … competed in various amateur events around California … claimed medalist honors at the 2010 US Open Local Qualifier at La Purisima, the 2010 SCGA Amateur Qualifier at Rancho San Marcos, and the 2009 SCGA Amateur Qualifier at Sterling Hills … won the 2010 Goleta City Championship (68-69) and the 2009 Lompoc City Championship at La Purisima … tied for fifth at the 2009 California State Fair Amateur with an eight-under par 208 (68-69-71) … tied for 11th at the 2010 Southern California (SCGA) Amateur with a four-under par 280 (72-71-67-70) … tied for 16th at the 2010 Memorial Amateur with a one-under par 215 (73-71-71) … competed extensively on the AJGA and FCWT circuits … collected four top-5 finishes on the AJGA tour, highlighted by a second place showing at the 2009 AGJA Junior at Wenatchee in August of 2009, where he fired a two-under par 214 (70-71-73) … on the FCWT, Platt finished in the top-10 on seven occasions, including four top-five finishes and a win at the `10 FCWT Hunter Ranch Open with a five-under par 139 (68-71) … also competed in the SCPGA Toyota Tour Cup … in his 2009 events on the circuit, claimed first place at Cypress Ridge by shooting an even par 144 (73-71) and placed second at Rancho San Marcos after carding a three-under par 139 (69-70) … graduated with a degree in applied and computational mathematics and statistics from the College of Science.
