AS A SENIOR: Played in four tournaments as an individual entrant … had his best finish at the Battle of the Warren when shot a five-over par 147 to tie for eighth (April 16) … placed 22nd at both the Notre Dame Kickoff Challenge (Aug. 30) and the Jerry Murray Invitational.

AS A JUNIOR: Competed in both of Notre Dame’s fall home tournaments … 79.20 stroke average over five rounds as an unattached player … career-best 17th place finish at the Notre Dame Kickoff Challenge (Aug. 30) … shared 46th place (81-77-76=234) playing as an individual in the Fighting Irish Golf Classic (Sept. 28-30).

AS A SOPHOMORE: Made only appearance of the fall season at the Fighting Irish Gridiron Golf Classic (Sept. 23-24), tying for 69th place with a score of 233 (79-81-73).

AS A FRESHMAN: Concluded his inaugural season for the Irish by competing in two tournaments … ended the season with a stroke average of 76.00 … finished the spring season with a stroke average of 74.00 … made his Irish debut at the Fighting Irish Gridiron Golf Classic (Oct. 7-9) … playing as an individual, finished the tournament with a score of 234 (+21) in a three-way tie with teammates Tyler Wingo and Edward Hjerpe … appeared in his second tournament of the year at the BIG EAST Championship (April 28-30) … completed the tournament with a score of 222 (+6), earning a share of 25th place … shot his best career round in the third round with a one-under par 71.

PREP AND PERSONAL: Competed in men’s golf while attending Archbishop Edward McCarthy High School in Pembroke Pines, Fla. … earned varsity letters each of four years there under the direction of head coach Carl Phillips … helped squad to sectional championship during sophomore and junior years … named team captain during both junior and senior seasons, while earning all-county distinction each of his four years … finished as the high school district champion in both ’09 and ’10, while earning a runner-up result in ’11 … finished with three top-five, six top-10 and nine top-20 results in AJGA competitions … finished in the top ten in the Optimist International in ’10 … won the Florida Junior Tour Championship at Mission Inn in November ’10 … rated as the 130th best golfer overall according to JGS, while checking in at 67 in the class of ’12 … ranked 36th in the class of ’12 according to Golfweek, while placing 64th overall … received First Honors every semester in high school and was named AJGA/HP Scholastic Honor Roll in both ’10 and ’11 … participated in Link Crew, a high school mentor program and peer ministry … biggest thrill was breaking school record for lowest 18-hole round after shooting a 66 at district championship … son of Rick and Theresa Toste … born in Hollywood, Fla. … enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business as a marketing major.
