BEFORE NOTRE DAME
- Spent the 2023-24 season with the New Mexico Ice Wolves of the USHL, appearing in 58 contests and tallying 51 points behind 21 goals and 30 assists.
- His 51 points ranked fourth on the team while his 21 goals was second overall.
- Played one season in the OJHL with the Lindsay Muskies.

- Native of Traverse City, Michigan
- Son of Lisa and Tom Schermerhorn
- Has two siblings – older sister Samantha and twin sister Sara
- Father Tom played football at Army West Point
- Attended Traverse City West and graduated in 2022
- Also played football, soccer and ran track in high school
- Was inducted into the Traverse City West hall of fame and was an all-state honoree in football
- Plans to study chemical engineering at Notre Dame
