  • Skated in all 36 games for the Irish in his junior season. 
  • Finished with 16 points off four goals and 12 assists.
  • Posted four goals on the season.
  • Ranked fourth in the team in assists with 12. 
  • Blocked 15 shots on the season. 
  • Secured his first point of the season with a goal in the 1st period of the game against Boston University (Oct. 20). 
  • Recorded multiple two game point streaks including Nov. 5-10; Dec. 1-2; Jan. 20-Feb. 2 and Feb. 16-17 resulting in three goals and six assists. 
  • Assisted on the game winning overtime goal against Mercyhurst (Oct. 26).

AS A FRESHMAN (2021-22)

  • Made collegiate debut in home opener against Long Island (Oct. 9). 
  • Recorded first career point with an assist to his brother, Trevor, in 5-2 win over Northern Michigan (Oct. 16). 
  • Tallied an assist on Jack Adams’ goal on the way to a 5-4 overtime victory at Penn State (Jan. 8).
  • Tallied two points, including his first collegiate goal, in a 7-2 win over Penn State (Feb. 4).
  • Notched a goal and an assist for his second career multipoint game in the 4-2 victory over Michigan State (Feb. 19).
  • Assisted on the game’s opening goal in the senior night 2-1 win over No. 2 Michigan (Feb. 26).

IN THE NHL DRAFT

  • Selected in the seventh round, 195th overall, by the Seattle Kraken in the 2021 NHL Draft.

WITH USA HOCKEY

  • Played the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons with the USNTDP.
  • Finished the 2020-21 season with 27 points on 12 goals and 15 assists in 37 games. 
  • Participated in the 2021 BioSteel All-American Game.
  • Skated in the 2020 Under-17 Five Nations tournament as Team USA earned a runner-up finish.
  • Finished tied for sixth on the team in scoring with 37 points in 45 games (17-20-37) in 2019-20.
  • Played in the 2019 Under-17 Four Nations tournament (first place) and the 2019 World Under-17 Challenge (second place).

  • Drafted by the Seattle Kraken in the seventh round (195th overall) of the recent 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
  • Played for Maple Grove HS in 2018-19, totaling 49 points on 19 goals and 30 assists in 24 games. 
  • Younger brother of current junior Irish forward Trevor Janicke and the son of Curtis Janicke, who played for the Irish from 1989-93.
