AS A SENIOR (2013): A team captain … played in all 16 games on the first midfield line … scored six goals and dished out seven assists … picked up five ground balls … had a career-high two assists in the 10-9 overtime win at Penn State … assisted on the goal that tied the game, 8-8, with 24 seconds left in regulation and then on the overtime winner against the Nittany Lions … matched a career-high mark with two ground balls in the 13-12 overtime win at Denver … put the Irish up 1-0 less than a minute into the game in an eventual 9-4 win over Ohio State … also had an assist against the Buckeyes … scored the goal that tied the Rutgers contest, 2-2, with just over a minute left in the first half and the Irish went on to win 7-6 … had a goal and an assist in a 17-5 besting of Marquette … netted a goal in a 10-8 victory over Georgetown … gave the Irish a 1-0 lead in the 10-4 setback to Syracuse at the Big City Classic … deposited the final goal in the 9-7 triumph of Detroit in the first round of the NCAA Championship … copped his fourth monogram.
AS A JUNIOR (2012): Started all 16 games on Notre Dame[apos]s first midfield line … posted career-high totals in goals (13), assists (8) and points (21) … picked up nine ground balls … had an assist in the 7-3 season-opening victory over Duke … netted two goals in a 4-3 overtime setback to Penn State … assisted on the goal that tied the game 4-4 with just over a minute remaining in an eventual 6-5 overtime win at Hofstra … assisted on the game winner in a 10-9 triple-overtime win over Denver … also scored a goal in the victory over the Pioneers … began a career-best nine-game goal streak with a one-goal, two-assist performance against Rutgers, a 12-9 Irish win … notched one goal and one assist in the 13-6 victory over St. John[apos]s at the Big City Classic … scored one goal in wins against Providence (9-1), Georgetown (9-7) and Villanova (10-7) … produced two goals and one assist in an 8-6 win over Syracuse that clinched the BIG EAST regular-season title for the Irish … kept the goal streak going with a tally in an 8-7 setback to St. John[apos]s in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Championship … registered a goal and an assist in a 13-7 win over Yale in the first round of the NCAA Championship … put Notre Dame up 9-8 midway through the fourth quarter of a 12-10 win over Virginia in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championship … earned his third monogram.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2011): A starter in all 14 games … posted eight goals and four assists … picked up a career-best 11 ground balls … scored a goal in back-to-back wins over Penn State (6-2) and Drexel (11-7) … came up big in a 10-9 win at Denver by tallying a career-high three goals … netted a goal in an 8-3 victory at Rutgers in the BIG EAST opener … notched first career assist in a 12-8 win over Villanova … had a goal in a 10-7 besting of St. John[apos]s … two assists in a 14-3 victory at Providence … scored a goal in an 11-8 setback at Syracuse … assisted on a goal in a 13-6 triumph of Penn in the first round of the NCAA Championship … picked up two ground balls versus Drexel and St. John[apos]s … earned his second monogram.
AS A FRESHMAN (2010): Played in 11 games during his rookie season … came on strong towards the end of the season … one goal and picked up two ground balls … saw his first action during the sixth game of the season, a 14-7 win over Denver … played in the final nine contests of the season … scored a goal and picked up a ground ball in an 11-3 win over Providence … earned a monogram.
PREP AND PERSONAL: Three-year letterwinner in lacrosse … team captain as a senior … first team all-area, all-league and all-state … selected to New Jersey state all-star game … Under Armour Underclassmen All-America game MVP … named Morris County Scholar-Athlete of the Year … Morris County champions … member of two non-public state championship teams … earned three letters in football … New Jersey tournament of champions runner-up as a junior in football … first-team all-conference and all-county at wide receiver and cornerback … received football team[apos]s MVP award as a senior … high honors student … an AP art student in high school … son of Gene and Jane Foley … graduated from the College of Arts and Letters in May 2013 with an economics degree.
