AS A SENIOR (2023)
- Started all 21 matches he appeared in for the Irish during his final season at Notre Dame
- Was the top goalie in the country, being named a United Soccer Coaches First Team All-American and the TopDrawerSoccer National Player of the Year
- Finished with career-highs in saves (70), save percentage (0.824), clean sheets (11) and wins (12)
- Allowed just 15 goals on the season for a career-best 0.699 goals allowed per match
- Gave up two or more goals on just three occasions all season
- Produced his best performance of his career in the 0-0 draw at Akron, making a career-high 12 saves to keep the clean sheet intact
- The 12 saves were the most by an ACC goalkeeper in the regular season and the third most of any goalie at the DI level
- Made a huge save in the penalty shootout against Western Michigan in the NCAA Tournament Round of 16 to help the Irish advance
AS A JUNIOR (2022)
- Started all 17 matches in goal for Notre Dame during his third season in South Bend
- Totaled 43 saves while allowing 23 goals for a save percentage of 65.2%
- Finished the season with a record of 8-7-2
- Recorded two clean sheets on the season
- Made a career-high seven saves in three matches, coming against Syracuse, Virginia and Pitt
AS A SOPHOMORE (2021):
- Earned 21 starts as the primary goalkeeper for the Irish during his sophomore season
- Finished the year with 10 cleans sheets and a record of 11-5-5
- Recorded 46 saves while allowing just 19 goals over 21 matches, allowing just 0.85 goals per match
- Helped spark Notre Dame’s postseason run, as the team allowed just two goals over eight postseason matches
- Played a key role in Notre Dame’s run to win the ACC title, as the defense didn’t allow a single goal over four matches
- Dowd recorded six straight clean sheets over four ACC Championship matches and two NCAA Tournament contests, setting the program record for most consecutive minutes of shutout play at 650 minutes
- Helped the Irish not allow a goal off a corner all season
- Produced heroics in shootout wins over Louisville (ACC 2nd Round) and Pitt (NCAA Quarterfinals) to help the Irish advance
- Made saves on five penalty attempts over the season
- Recorded a season-high five saves in wins over Northern Illinois and Pitt (NCAA Quarterfinals)
AS A FRESHMAN (2020):
- Earned three starts and appeared in four matches as the goalkeeper.
- Made his Notre Dame debut with a start and clean sheet in a win over Calvin (3/16/21).
PREP AND PERSONAL
- Ranked as the #3 goalkeeper from TopDrawer Soccer for the class of 2020 and #34 overall
- One of only 26 American born players invited to participate in the three “World Cup Cycle” U17 USMNT Training Camps
- Earned a spot on the preliminary roster for the US U17 men’s national team roster for the FIFA U17 World Cup
- Played for Chicago FC United, of USL League Two and earned a clean sheet
- Earned the starting GK position all four years at the FC United Development Academy from 2016 to 2020
- Named the Most Valuable Goalkeeper at the Costa Rica Internacional Cup in June 2015
- Also a three-time First Team All-Conference and All-Area selection as a kicker on the Fenwick HS football team
- Member of National Honor Society & German Club and earned All-First Honors every semester at Fenwick
- Served as a student ambassador for Fenwick last three years of high school
