AS A FRESHMAN (2023-24)

• Competed in 36 singles matches and 34 doubles matches combined during the fall and spring seasons
• Tallied 19 singles wins and 18 doubles victories
• ACC Doubles Team of the Week with Nil Giraldez (April 9)
• ACC Freshman of the Week (Jan. 16)
• Opened the season ranked in doubles competition
• Tallied a win over UVA’s Graziani in straight sets
• Earned 11 dual match wins during the spring season
• Tallied 15 doubles wins in dual matches, going 7-5 in the ACC at the second position

PREP AND PERSONAL

• Chose Notre Dame because of its historic campus, the coaching staff and ability to compete with a strong tennis program.
• Played high school tennis for Saddleback Virtual Academy under head coach Javier Pulgar
• He is the son of Sarah and Bill Thompson
• His father played tennis collegiately at Cleveland State
• Has two sisters, Gwenyth and Izabelle
