AS A SENIOR (2011): Made season debut in the circle against Delaware (Feb. 19), allowing one earned run in two innings of relief, striking out one Blue Hen hitter … tossed a scoreless inning out of the bullpen against Marist (Feb. 27) … earned first career save against Maryland (March 5), hurling an inning of one-run softball … worked a scoreless frame in a 14-0 home shutout of St. John[apos]s (May 1), combining on a five-inning no-hitter with fellow senior Jody Valdivia.

AS A JUNIOR (2010): Returned to the field for the first time against Eastern Michigan (March 23) since a knee injury sidelined her for the 2009 campaign … tossed 2.0 innings against the Eagles in the home-opening series, striking out two with an unearned run … tallied an RBI against George Washington (Feb. 27) during a pinch-hitting cameo … threw 0.2 innings at DePaul (April 22).

AS A SOPHOMORE (2009): Missed the entire season with a knee injury.

AS A FRESHMAN (2008): Stepped in as a designated hitter for the Irish early in the year and developed into the team[apos]s starting catcher during a midseason stretch … credited with her first career at-bat at Florida (Feb. 24) … got on base by drawing a walk versus Pacific (March 1) … ripped a single in her only at-bat against Towson (March 14), also seeing her first defensive action from behind the plate in that contest … scored a run at Charleston Southern (March 14) … stepped in to pinch hit in the bottom of the fifth in the home opener against IUPUI (March 26), and drove in the game-ending run with an RBI double to left-center in the 8-0 shutout win … made eight starts from April 6-15 and was credited with 66 putouts … over a fifth of those came in game two with Eastern Michigan (April 19) when she called the shots for pitcher Jody Valdivia[apos]s 14-strikeout performance – the most recorded by any Irish pitcher on the season … also singled and walked against the Eagles in the first game of that twinbill … worked the counts to earn free passes against Seton Hall (April 6), Villanova (April 13) and Rutgers (April 14) … crushed a double against Kent State (May 17) during the NCAA Tournament … assisted on four putouts.

PREP AND PERSONAL: As a junior, had a tremendous spring as she hit .647 with seven home runs, 40 runs scored and 78 RBI at the plate for Hollywood Christian (Fla.) … from the mound, she posted a record of 16-3 with a 0.50 ERA … first-team all state as a sophomore, junior and senior … first-team all-Broward County from 2005-07, as named by both the Miami Herald and Sun-Sentinel … Miami Herald[apos]s Pitcher of the Year in 2006, and the Sun-Sentinel[apos]s Player of the Year that same season … two-time team captain and MVP … led team to a pair of Florida state titles and two runner-up finishes … Hollywood Christian valedictorian in 2007 … senior class president … active in community[apos]s Big Brothers/Big Sisters program … National Honor Society member from 2005-07 … won school[apos]s most outstanding female underclassman award in 2006 … given school[apos]s Esther Award for Christian Leadership in 2007 … daughter of Jane Cassidy and John Kelly … has three siblings, Caroline, Quinn and Ava … enjoys listening to classical music … had never seen snow until she came to Notre Dame in 2007 … graduated with a degree in history from the College of Arts & Letters.
