AS A SENIOR (2009-10): Finished his career as program’s most decorated and accomplished sprinter … named to the ESPN/CoSIDA Academic all-District Five At-Large team … selected as the BIG EAST Men’s Swimming Scholar Athlete of the Year … won Notre Dame’s Byron V. Kanaley Award, the Blanchard Award, Notre Dame Club of St. Joseph Valley Rockne Student Athlete Award and named Notre Dame Monogram Club MVP … leaves Notre Dame with seven school records including: 50 free (20.05), 100 free (43.46), 200 free (1:35.79), 200 free relay (1:19.42), 400 free relay (2:54.08), 800 free relay (6:27.19) and 400 medley relay (3:15.25) … part of the gold winning 800 free relay at the BIG EAST Championships … took home silver in the 100 free and 200 free at the BIG EAST Championships, touching the pad at 43.56 and 1:37.24, respectively … fastest 50 and 200 free times came from the lead-off leg of the 200 and 800 free relays, stopping the clock at 20.18 and 1:36.92 … concluded his career with seven of the top ten times in 50 free, eight of the top ten times in the 100 free and seven of the top 10 times in the 200 free which includes the top six times in school history in each event … garnered one BIG EAST title and six BIG EAST all- conference awards, ending his storied career with five BIG EAST titles (one individual, four relay) and 22 BIG EAST all-conference citations (seven individual, fifteen relay), both of which top the Irish record book … named BIG EAST Swimmer of the Week (Oct. 29) after winning the 50 and 100 free events and being a member of the victorious 200 medley and 400 free relays in a dual meet against Oakland.

AS A JUNIOR (2008-09): Bulked up his swimming resume with a number of accolades on the season… set school records in the 50 free (20.05), 100 free (43.46), 200 free (1:35.79), 400 medley relay (3:16.74), 200 free relay (1:19.42), 400 free relay (2:54.08) and 800 free relay (6:27.19) … earned all- BIG EAST honors in the 800 free relay (1st), 200 free relay (2nd), 200 free (1st), 100 free (2nd) and 400 free relay (1st) … boasts a program-best four BIG EAST titles (one individual, three relay) and 16 total all-BIG EAST honors (five individual, 11 relay) … named the BIG EAST Conference’s Athlete of the Week for swimming and diving on Jan. 21 after sweeping the 50 (20.96) and 100 free (45.37) events in dual-meet action against Northwestern … also contributed a third-place finish in the 200 medley relay (1:35.00) against the Wildcats … during Notre Dame’s trip to Oakland, finished first in the 100 (45.93) and 200 free (1:40.91) events with a second- place showing in the 200 free relay (1:24.76) … also recorded one of the team’s fastest times in the 200 IM after going 1:52.44 against Olivet … CSCAA All- Academic Honorable Mention … named team MVP.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2007-08): Continued his dominance as one of the top freestylers in the BIG EAST Conference … six-time all-BIG EAST honoree … claimed 12 of Notre Dame’s top 14 times recorded in the 50 free on the season, four of which came during his leg of the 200 free relay in various meets … topped the list with 14 of the top 16 fastest 100 free marks and seven of the top 12 times in the 200 free … each of his respective times in the 50 (20.47), 100 (44.33) and 200 free (1:37.79) were team-bests on the season … his 100 and 200 free performances were school records … part of the season’s fastest 200 free and 400 free relay teams, setting a school record in the former event in 2:59.05 … also set a new program mark in the 800 free relay (6:32.45) … staked all-league honors in the 800 free relay, 400 free relay, 200 free relay, 100 free, 200 free and 400 medley relay.

AS A FRESHMAN (2006-07): Set University records in 100 and 200 free and teamed for two more with Irish relay squads … set program records in the 100 free (44.76) and 200 free (1:38.06) … five- time all-BIG EAST performer, earning the honors in the 800 free relay, 200 free relay, 200 free, 400 medley relay, and 400 free relay … collected 12 overall wins on the season, including five individual and seven relay victories … took the 100 free versus Purdue, 100 free at Texas A&M, 200 free versus ittsburgh, 200 free and 100 free at Oakland … teamed to win the 400 medley relay against Purdue and Michigan State … also took the 400 free relay versus the Boilermakers … routed the field in the 200 free relay versus Michigan State … won the 200 medley relay at Cleveland State … picked up a win in the 400 free relay at Louisville … first Irish swimmer to touch the wall at the BIG EAST Championship in the 100 free (44.76) and 200 free (1:38.06).
