AS A SENIOR (2009-10): Holds a top ten time in Notre Dame history in three events (50, 100 200 free) … finished Irish career as the second fastest 50, 100 and 200 freestyler and only trailed fellow classmate John Lytle in each of the three events … member of the victorious 800 free relay at the BIG EAST Championships with an NCAA B-cut time of 6:28.48 … garnered four BIG EAST all-conference honors which included the 200 free relay (1:20.93), 400 free relay (2:57.16), 800 free relay (6:28.48) and the 200 free (1:37.75) … all four events were NCAA B-cut performances … touched the pad in eighth and ninth place in the 100 (44.85) and 50 free (20.62) events at the BIG EAST Championships, respectively … leaves Notre Dame with two school records which include the 200 free relay (1:19.42) and the 400 free relay (2:54.08) … swam the 200 IM during the Shamrock Invitational in a time of 1:55.09 … competed in the 100 fly against Pittsburgh in a season best 51.84 … took home 14th place at the Ohio State Invitational in the 200 free in 1:40.66 … had one individual win on the dual meet season in the 200 free to begin the year against Oakland.

AS A JUNIOR (2008-09): Played an instrumental role in leading the Irish to the 2009 BIG EAST title … anchored the 400 free relay team to an upset over top-ranked Louisville in a time of 2:54.08 … that race came down to the final turn with Hoffman holding off a charging Louisville swimmer … the performance set a school and league record … bettered the school[apos]s 50 free record at the league meet, stopping the clock at 20.39, a mark that was later reset by classmate John Lytle … went 44.23 in the 100 free at the BIG EAST meet while clocking in at 1:37.25 in the 200 free … turned in one of the team[apos]s top 100 fly times of the season with a 49.04 against Olivet … earned all-BIG EAST honors in the 200 (2nd) and 400 free relay (1st).

AS A SOPHOMORE (2007-08): An integral member in the successful Irish relays at the BIG EAST Championships … claimed three all- league honors … the third leg of the champion 800 free relay (6:23.45) team consisting entirely of underclassmen … that group also set a school record with their mark … part of the second- place finishing 200 and 400 free relays, setting a program best in the latter event … anchored the fifth-place 200 medley relay team at the league meet … as a leg in four Irish relays, helped the team earn 136 points en route to claiming the overall title … had notable individual swims in the 200 free (1:39.15) and 100 free (11th place, 48.54) at the BIG EAST meet … sprinted to a 21.26 at the Ohio State Invitational in the 50 free … went 1:58.11 in the 200 IM at the Shamrock Invitational.

AS A FRESHMAN (2006-07): Part of three first- place finishing relay squads … first win came in the 400 free relay versus Purdue … won the same event at Louisville … racked up a win in the 200 free relay against Michigan State took top individual honors against the Cardinals in the 200 free … recorded a time of 1:39.11 in the 200 free at the BIG EAST Championships, which was the sixth-best for Notre Dame on the season.
