Brian Maloy 2009-10 Swimming and Diving Roster

FALL (2010): Finished the fall with two career-best times and another season-best time at the Hawkeye Invitational … re-set personal records in the 100 breast (56.96) and 200 breast (2:07.97) while finishing just two one-hundredths of a second of a personal record in the 50 free.

AS A SOPHOMORE: A breaststroker connoisseur for Notre Dame … set both breaststroke season bests at the Ohio State Invitational with times of 56.97 in the 100 breast and 2:10.08 in the 200 breast … both times were career bests … topped out at 22.06 in the 50 free at the Shamrock Invitational, also a personal best time … swam in 12 breaststroke events during the season.

AS A FRESHMAN: Swam four different events throughout the season … best time in the 100 breast (57.56) came at the Ohio State Invitational … went 2:13.20 in the 200 breast during the Shamrock Invitational … also went one round in the 50 free (22.35) and 200 IM (2:02.38).

THE MALOY FILE: Starred as a prep at Shaker (N.Y.) while earning a pair MVP awards with the swimming team … team captain as a senior … two-time All- American, earning the distinction in the 200 medley relay and 100 breast … set school records in the 200 medley relay, 200 free relay and 100 breast … state champion in the 200 medley relay and runner-up in the 100 breast … New York Section II scholar-athlete of the year for the 2007-08 season … earned four letters in swimming, two in soccer and two in track … member of the National Honor Society … sister, Elizabeth, and brother, John, are track standouts at Georgetown … son of Joanne and Jack Maloy … born Feb. 13, 1990, in Niskayuna, N.Y. … enrolled in the College of Engineering as a civil engineering major.
