AS A SENIOR (2011-12): Swam the third leg of the 400 free relay in a fifth-place finish at season-opening dual meet … posted a 48.12 in the 100 free at Pittsburgh … opening leg swimmer of the victorious 400 medley relay at Valparaiso … finished in third place in the 200 back at Valparaiso … member of the fourth place 200 free relay squad at the Shamrock Invitational.

AS A JUNIOR (2010-11): Broke his personal records in three of his four signature events during his junior campaign … two career-best marks came at the Hawkeye Invitational … first was in the 100 back with a 51.10 showing and the second was a 1:52.87 performance in the 200 back … swam to his third personal best at the Shamrock Invitational with a 46.89 in the 100 free … also set a top season time in the 50 free (21.23) at the Shamrock Invitational.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2009-10): Primarily a freestyler and backstroker for the Irish … set three season-best times at the Ohio State Invitational … performances at the invitational included times of 48.65 in the 100 free, 51.36 in the 100 back and 1:55.84 in the 200 back … both the 100 back and 200 back were personal bests … recorded a season best 50 free time of 21.76 against Louisville … had one top three performance during the dual meet season, which came against Oakland in the 100 back.

AS A FRESHMAN (2008-09): Posted impressive swims in the 50 free (21.06) and 100 free (47.35) at the Shamrock Invitational … top 100 back (51.67) also came during that meet … finished the 200 back in 54.07 versus Pittsburgh … tested the 50 back (25.11) against Northwestern.

THE RAHILL FILE: Picked up All-America honors in the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay as a junior at Loyola (Ill.) while placing sixth in each of those events at the state meet … All-American as a senior in the 100 back … two-time all-state honoree as a junior … team captain and MVP his senior season … conference champion as a sophomore … broke a school record in the 100 back that previously stood for 18 years … qualified for Junior Nationals in the 100 back and 50 free … top times coming out of high school: 100 back (52.65), 50 free (21.66) and 50 back (24.42) … four-time letterwinner … swam with the Northwestern Aquatic Swimming Association under coach Andy Grevers … graduated summa cum laude as a member of high school[apos]s Dumbach Honors Society… an Illinois State Scholar and AP Scholar … involved in the Social Justice Club and Amnesty International in high school … son of Dan and Mary Clair Rahill … mother played field hockey at Notre Dame while his father swam for the Irish … each of his five uncles graduated from Notre Dame … brother, Dan is a senior at Notre Dame … enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business as an accounting major.
