AS A JUNIOR: Excelled in breaststroke events, particularly at the BIG EAST Championships … took home the silver as a part of the 200 free relay team (1:31.75) and the bronze in the 100 breast (season-best time of 1:01.18), in NCAA B-cut times … also placed eighth in 50 free and 10th in 200 breast during the BIG EAST Championships … secured a third place finish in the 50 free at both the Shamrock Invitational and the dual meet against Louisville … aided the team that placed second in the 200 medley relay against Louisville … also brought home third in the 100 breast against Toledo and in the tri-meet against Michigan and Northwestern … was an honorable mention CSCAA Scholar All-America selection … named to the BIG EAST All-Academic team … a member of the Notre Dame Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) … earned a monogram.

AS A SOPHOMORE:Breaststroke and individual medley specialist who turned in three career-best swims over the course of the season … competed in the 50 free (23.78), 100 breast (1:02.12) and 200 breast (2:13.86) at the BIG EAST Championships, setting lifetime best times as well as NCAA B-cuts in the 100 and 200 breaststroke … turned in another career-best time in the 200 IM (2:07.90) at the Ohio State Invitational … won first place in the 100 breast in a dual meet against Michigan State … aided the 400 medley relay to a silver medal in the same meet against Michigan State … swam at the U.S. Olympic Trials, finishing T-77th in the 100 breast at the long course meet … earned a monogram.

AS A FRESHMAN:Specialized in the 100 and 200 breast and the 200 individual medley … swam all three events at the BIG EAST Championships, turning in season bests with times of 1:03.49 in the 100 breast, 2:20.71 in the 200 breast and 2:12.57 in the IM … also swam the 100 fly at the Shamrock Invitational … earned a monogram.THE MCDONOUGH FILE:Competed for Charlotte Catholic High School (N.C.) … was the 3A state champ in the 100 breast and held the state record in the event at the time of graduation … enrolled in the College of Arts and Letters and is a double major in psychology and anthropology … named to Notre Dame[apos]s Dean[apos]s List once through junior year.
