AS A SENIOR:Finished their career with a solid diving season…placed 23rd in 3-meter dive at NCAA Zone C Diving Championships (289.05)… also competed in the prelims for the 1-meter dive, coming in 24th place (282.60)… had personal best in 1-meter dive at the Shamrock Invitational, placing sixth (319.40)… also took fourth in 3-meter dive (347.35)… had seven top-ten finishes in 1-meter dive… highest score coming against Purdue and placing sixth (304.57)… clinched third, his highest placement in 1-meter dive this season, against Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh (304.45)… logged their highest score in 3-meter dive in an exhibition against Auburn, placing fourth (351.00)… highest place in the event was third against Michigan State (335.47)… earned a monogram.
AS A JUNIOR: Had his most successful season with the Irish, diving personal bests in the 1-meter (6) and 3-meter (6) events … set new career record in 1-meter event at Shamrock Invitational, scoring 313.50 … the following week, scored a 358.80 in the 3-meter event … placed in the top 10 a handful of times throughout the season … was fourth in the 1-meter against Wisconsin (297.29) and in the 3-meter (336.22) against Michigan State and Virginia … at Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championships, scored 305.00 in the 1-meter (11) … also earned 263.90 in the platform (11) event and 290.05 in the 3-meter (11) competition … earned a monogram.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Dove to a pair of fifth-place finishes off the 3-meter (320.25) and the 1-meter boards, earning a season-best 299.80 points to go along with a second-place and season-best 258.90 point performance in the platform at the BIG EAST Championships … in the 3-meter at the Northwestern Invitational, collected 308.00 points and a bronze finish … found success in the 3-meter during the Shamrock Invitational, earning second-place (339.70) … claimed two bronze finishes against Cleveland State in the 1-meter (288.82) and the 3-meter (278.25) events … performed well in the 3-meter against Pittsburgh, gaining 349.80 points, good enough for second-place … was one of four recipients of the Notre Dame Most Improved Award at the season-ending team banquet … BIG EAST Academic All-Star … monogram winner.
AS A FRESHMAN: Competed in both the 1 and 3-meter dives in his first collegiate season … runner-up finish in the 3-meter dive with a personal-best score of 299.10 points at Pittsburgh … logged a score of 264.16 in a fourth place 3-meter effort at Louisville … earned third place in the 1-meter (270.45) and 3-meter (329.48, personal-best) dives in a dual meet against Michigan State … won a monogram.
PREP AND PERSONAL: Four-time letterwinner at Neuqua (Ill.) while also earning NISCA All-American honors in 2010 … holds school’s 11-dive record … placed in the top 12 at the Illinois state meet as a sophomore and seventh as a junior … three-time conference champion … team captain as a senior … runner-up at AAU national championships in 1-meter event in the 18-over age group … Indian Prairie Scholar and member of National Society of High School Scholars … son of Carolyn and John Wagner … oldest of three children … cousin, Andy Bonk, was a fencer at Notre Dame … hails from the same area as former Irish swimmer Kevin Overholt … graduated from the College of Engineering, majoring in mechanical engineering.
