Caroline Tolly (formerly Simmons) joined the University of Notre Dame women’s swimming and diving team as their operations specialist in 2015-16.
In this role, Tolly coordinates logistics for the team, including travel arrangements, meals, equipment ordering and NCAA compliance paperwork.
A 2012 Grove City College graduate, Tolly swam for three years with the Wolverines after transferring from Edinboro following her freshman season. There she was named team captain as a senior. She holds a Bachelors degree in history and is certified in secondary education, degrees she used for three years at the middle school level teaching history, logic and physical education. She also served as a volunteer assistant coach at Grove City for one year.
Originally from Edinboro, Pennsylvania, Tolly now calls South Bend home. She married Jeff Tolly, a post-doc at the University of Notre Dame in October 2015.
