AS A SENIOR (2015-16): Saw Irish career culminate at second ACC Championship meet … for academic prowess, named the Knute Rockne Scholar Athlete for men’s swimming and diving team … began the year swimming at Dennis Stark Relays, taking second with the 400 medley (58.87 split), third with the 300 breast (59.14 split( and fifth with the 400 IM (55.31 leadoff split) team … swam on second-place 400 medley relay team (57.87 split) against Michigan State … at Virginia Tech, took fifth with the 200 medley relay (27.00 split), seventh with the 400 medley relay (59.01 split), 10th in the 100 breast (58.80) and11th in the 200 (2:14.68) … at Purdue Invitational, swam mostly individual events … touched the wall in 1:59.00 in 200 IM and finished 20th in 100 breast (57.90 finals, 58.49 prelims) and 200 breast (2:08.49 finals, 2:11.61 prelims) … helped 400 medley relay to ninth place (57.53 split) and 200 medley relay to 12th (26.43 split) … at Virginia, came in fourth in 100 breast (57.65) and sixth in 200 breast (2:06.23), but helped 400 medley relay to first (57.19 split) and 200 medley relay to second (25.89 split) … versus Northwestern, lent breaststroke experience to first-place 200 medley relay team (26.35 split) and came in second in the 100 breast (57.83) and sixth in the 200 (2:08.61) … exhibitioned in the 200 IM, clocking in at 1:58.04 … at Shamrock Invitational, highest finishes came with 400 medley relay (58.28 split) and 200 medley relay (26.30 split) that both finished third … clocked in at 1:59.93 in the 200 IM, 57.71 in the 100 breast and 2:09.42 in the 200 breast … at ACC Championship, swam a 1:52.15 in the 200 IM and too 22nd in the 100 breast (55.55 finals, 55.30 prelims) … finished the meet swimming the 200 breast in 2:01.25 … earned a monogram.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2013-14): Swam breaststroke and butterfly events in his second season with the Irish, finishing in the top-10 numerous times … tried his hand in the 500 free (4:36.03) at Hawkeye Invitational … came in sixth in exhibition meet against Purdue in 400 IM (4:13.36) … earned his best time in the 100 breast (55.45) and 200 breast (2:00.67) at Shamrock Invitational, finishing second in both races … clocked in at 2:03.08 in 200 breast at Hawkeye Invitational … in 100 breast, touched the wall in 55.79 at Hawkeye Invitational … was fourth in 100 breast (58.92) in tri-meet with Michigan State and Virginia … touched the wall fifth in 200 breast (2:07.87) in tri-meet with Michigan and Northwestern … in dual meet with Louisville, came in sixth in 200 fly (1:53.47) … won 200 fly (1:51.72) in last home meet of the season against Cleveland State.

AS A FRESHMAN (2012-13): Saw limited action during his freshman season … recorded a seventh-place finish in the 100 breast (58.76) at the Shamrock Invitational … in dual meet action against Cleveland State, finished sixth in the 200 free (1:53.18) … against Pittsburgh, swam to a fourth-place finish in the 100 breast (59.53) and a fifth-place finish in the 400 free relay (3:14.77) … monogram winner.

PREP AND PERSONAL: Three-year letterwinner at Saline (Mich.) High School for coach Todd Brunty … primary events were distance and the individual medley … member of two undefeated seasons and the 2011 state championship team with the Hornets … all-conference selection … transferred to Clements High School for his senior season … also swam with Club Wolverine and the First Colony Swim Team … qualified for the Short Course Junior National Finals in the 200 breast … son of Leif and Mary Jensen … has one sister, Kathryn … graduated from the College of Science with a degree in Science Pre-Professional.
