Zane Parker 2012-13 Swimming and Diving Roster

AS A SENIOR (2015-16): One of two main divers for the men’s team, competing at ACC Championship … began the year at Dennis Stark Relays, where he finished second in the 1-meter relay (248.25 individual score, 509.70 combined) and first in the 3-meter synchronized diving competition (239.15) … versus Michigan State, took fifth in both 1-meter (260.55) and 3-meter (231.68) … at Purdue Invitational, finished seventh in the 1-meter competition (250.95 finals, 235.25 prelims) and sixth in the 3-meter (279.40 finals, 230.65 prelims) … at Virginia came in fifth in both events, scoring 257.03 in 1-meter and 288.22 in 3-meter … at Shamrock Invite, took seventh in 1-meter (246.95) and eighth in 3-meter (207.17) … capped season at ACC Championship, diving to 17th in 1-meter (292.20) and scoring 215.15 in 3-meter.

PREP & PERSONAL: Walked on with the Irish as a freshman, but season was cut short due to wrist injury … trained on and off the last two seasons while coaching a local high school team, and walked back on to the diving squad as a senior … graduated from Muncie Central in June 2012 … earned five varsity letters in cross country, tennis and diving … also dove with Starz diving club … two-tome age group national qualifier and East national qualifier … as freshman, team won sectional championship … as a sophomore, qualified as a regional finalist and team repeated as sectional champions … in junior season, individually was crowned sectional champion and a regional finalist, and team won sectional title … in senior campaign, posted undefeated record in all meets until the IHSAA State championship meet … came in 10th at IHSAA state meet … crowned sectional and regional champion … won team’s most valuable diver award all four seasons … one of five children to Kent and Mary Parker … has one brother, Zac, and three sisters, Adriann, Hillary and Peyton … graduated with a degree in Management Consulting from the University in May 2016.
