AS A JUNIOR (2023-24)

  • At the 2024 NCAA Championships, placed fourth in the 50 free (18.49), fifth in the 100 free (40.66) and third in the 200 free (1:30.38), earning First Team All-America status in all three events. His third place 200 free finish was the highest individual men’s finish in program history. Also helped Notre Dame to two eighth place finishes in the 200 free and 400 free relays
  • At the 2024 ACC Championships, swept the sprint free events: 50 free (18.57), 100 free (40.62) and 200 free (1:31.16)
  • At the Tim Welsh Classic, won the 100 fly (46.03) and the 100 free (41.77), took fifth in the 200 IM (1:47.72) and helped the Irish bring home first in the 200 free relay, 400 medley relay, 200 medley relay and 400 free relay. Helped place second in the 800 free relay.
  • Won the 50 free (19.55), 100 free (41.84), 200 free relay (1:17.33) and 400 medley relay (3:08.92) against Princeton and Navy. Also took second in the 200 free (1:33.62) and 400 free relay (2:52.97). Earned ACC Swimmer of the Week honors for the performances
  • Earned a bronze medal in the 100M free at the U.S. Open with a time of 48.51. Also made finals in the 50M free (22.16) and 200M free (1:49.04)
  • Won all three of his individual events at the Ohio State Fall Invitational
    • 50 free: broke his own school record with a time of 18.84
    • 100 free: broke his own school record with a time of 41.23. Also earned an NCAA A cut
    • 200 free: won the event with a time of 1:32.14
    • While Guiliano was already headed to Olympic Trials this summer, he solidified his standing by going under the OT mark in the 50/100/200 free in prelims. His LCM 100 free time of 47.98 was under the cut by more than two seconds
    • Helped break the school record in the 200 free relay, 400 free relay and 400 medley relay
  • Won the 100 and 200 free (43.10/1:37.05) at Louisville. Was part of the 200 medley relay that finished second
  • Won a total of seven events in victories over Pitt and Penn State: 50 free (19.35), 100 free (42.16), 200 free (1:33.75), 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay
    • Named ACC Swimmer of the Week on Oct. 23 for this performance
  • Won all four events that he swam against Purdue: 50 free (19.64), 100 free (42.86), 200 medley relay and 400 free relay
  • Won the 200 free at Wisconsin with a time of 1:37.50. Also took second in the 100 free (44.36), third in the 50 free (20.31), and was part of the winning 400 freestyle relay
  • A finalist in both the 50M and 100M freestyle at the Phillips 66 National Championships. Qualified for the World Aquatics Championships in the 100 free with a second place finish and a time of 47.98. Took seventh in the 50 with a time of 21.96. Both swims were school records.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2022-23)

  • Ranked in the top 10 in school history in:

  • Competed in seven events at 2023 NCAAs:

    • 200 medley relay (finished 17th with time of 1:23.35)
    • 200 free relay (finished 22nd with time of 1:17.44)
    • 400 free relay (finished 18th with time of 2:50.61)
    • 800 free relay (finished 12th with time of 6:14.39 & lead off with school record 1:32.08 in 200 free leg)
  • Won the 200 free (1:32.43) at ACCs, took 3rd in the 50 free (18.93) and 100 free (41.85)
  • Helped 800 free relay finish fourth at ACCs (6:16.29 with 1:33.43 lead-off split), 200 free relay finish sixth (1:17.35 with 18.95 lead-off split) and 400 free relay finish fifth (2:50.14 with 41.99 lead-off split)
  • Swam the freestyle leg (18.41) of the 200 medley relay at ACCs, which finished fifth (1:24.22)
  • Won the 100 free (44.15), took second in the 50 free (20.09) in a tri-meet against Pittsburgh and Penn State
  • Earned a second-place finish in the 50 free (19.98) and a third place finish in the 100 free (44.10) vs Louisville
  • Took second place in the 50 free (19.30), third place in the 100 free (42.50) and fifth place in the 200 free (1:35.37) at the Ohio State Invitational
  • Won the B final in the 50M free (22.46) at the 2022 Toyota U.S. Open, setting the school record and earning an Olympic Trials cut in the process. Finished fourth overall in the 100M free (49.17), which was another school record. Also swam the 200M free (1:50.78) in the B final.
  • Won the 50 free (19.53) and 100 free (42.75) against Navy and Princeton

AS A FRESHMAN (2021-22)

  • Broke two individual and was part of two relay records that were broken during the 2021-22 season.
  • Set the school record in the 50 freestyle with a time of 19.17 as part of the 200 freestyle relay at the ACC Championships.
  • He also set the school record in the 100 freestyle with a time of 42.34 as part of the 400 freestyle relay at the ACC Championships.
  • Both of the relay school records were broken at the 2022 NCAA Championships. He was part of the 200 medley relay school record (1:23.76) that finished 18th overall at NCAA’s and the 400 medley relay school record (3:05.93) that finished 21st in the event.
  • He also competed in three individual events at the NCAA Championships. He swam in the 50 free prelims (19.25), 100 free prelims (42.55) and 200 free prelims (1:34.05).
  • His 200 freestyle time from NCAA’s ranks fifth-best in program history.
  • Qualified for the B final in the 50 and 100 freestyle at the ACC Championships. He finished 11th overall in the 50 free (19.35) and 100 free (42.60).
  • Won the 50 freestyle (19.72) and placed third in the 100 freestyle (43.44) and 200 freestyle (1:38.46) at the Tim Welsh Classic.
  • Placed fifth in the 100 freestyle finals (42.99) and also finished fifth in the 200 freestyle (1:35.95) at the Ohio State Invitational.
  • Finished second in the 50 freestyle (20.44) and 100 freestyle (44.58) in the dual meet against Purdue.
  • Won the 50 freestyle (20.65) and 100 freestyle (45.25) in his first collegiate meet against Pittsburgh and Cleveland State.

PREP AND PERSONAL

  • Three-time high school All-American, and was named first-team all-state (2019-20).
  • Received Berks County Player of the Year honors (2018-19)
  • Named first-team all-district, also setting records in the 100 and 200 Free.
  • Was a team captain (senior) at Daniel Boone and three-time MVP (freshman-junior).

  • Has set school records in all of the above events; was also a part of Boone’s first state relay.
  • Lettered in swimming each year of high school.

  • Swam for TOPS Swimming club team; named the Team MVP in 2018 and 2019.
  • Was a member of Key Club, through which he participated in community service.
  • “I chose Notre Dame because of the family atmosphere provided by the student-athletes, coaches and staff. It was awesome to learn about the rich history, premier academics and athletics, alongside lifetime opportunities from Notre Dame. I believe it was a perfect fit for my family and me. I grew up dreaming to be a part of this university,” Guiliano said.
