HONORS AND AWARDS

  • 2023-24 ACC Academic Honor Roll
  • 2023 Under Armour 25 X 25 Collegiate Challenge Award winner for community service

AS A SENIOR (2024-25)

  • Placed sixth in the 100 fly (55.18) and fifth in the 200 fly (2:02.14) versus Louisville. Also swam fly on the 200 medley relay
  • Placed fourth in the 100 fly at Indiana with a time of 57.00. Also swam the 200 fly (2:06.05) and swam fly on the 200 medley relay that finished third
  • Finished ninth in the 100 fly against Michigan and Wisconsin with a time of 56.17. Also swam 200 fly (2:05.45) and the fly leg of the 200 medley relay
  • Placed third in the 100 (56.72) and 200 (2:05.72) fly against Miami (OH). Also swam butterfly on the 400 medley relay

AS A JUNIOR (2023-24)

  • Won the 200 fly at the Ohio State Winter Invite with a time of 2:01.05. Also went a best time in the 100 back (55.65) and swam the 100 fly (55.01) and 50 free (24.36)
  • Placed eighth in the 200 fly (2:01.87 — her best time this season), and competed in the 50 free (25.22), 100 fly (55.36) and 100 back (57.65) at the Tim Welsh Classic.
  • Placed eighth in the 100 fly (55.57) and sixth in the 200 fly (2:01.97) against Princeton and Navy. Also swam two relays
  • Made two B finals at the Ohio State Invitational —
    • 100 fly — 54.93, finished 18th
    • 200 fly — 2:03.19, finished 13th
  • Swam four events against Pitt and Penn State — 100 fly (56.97), 200 fly (2:07.87) and both medley relays
  • Took fourth in the 100 fly (56.70) and sixth in the 200 fly (2:06.60) against Purdue
  • Swam three events at Wisconsin — 100 fly (placed sixth, 56.87), 200 fly (placed fifth, 2:04.01) and 200 back (placed seventh, 2:08.74)

AS A SOPHOMORE (2022-23)

  • Competed in six meets for the Irish

AS A FRESHMAN (2021-22)

  • Finished sixth in the 100 butterfly (54.54) and seventh in the 200 butterfly (2:01.10) at the Tim Welsh Classic.
  • Swam in the 200 butterfly finals (2:00.68), 100 butterfly finals (54.68) 100 backstroke finals (57.14) and 200 IM (2:05.61) at the Ohio State Invitational.
  • Placed fifth in the 100 butterfly (56.78) and sixth in the 200 butterfly (2:04.49) at the dual meet against Purdue.
  • Swam in the 100 butterfly (56.91) and 200 butterfly (2:05.56) in her first collegiate meet against Pittsburgh and Cleveland State.

  • Team captain as a senior, team MVP as a sophomore and junior.
  • Was the 3A State Champion five times as an individual; team won three state championships.
  • All-American in six events
  • Three-time honoree for All-State, All-Region and All-League/Conference recognition.
  • Three-time state team member.
  • Best times: 100 Fly SCY (54.42), 200 IM SCY (2:02.79), 200 Fly SCY (1:59.56), 100 Fly LCM (1:01.11), 200 Fly LCM (2:14.40 – Olympic Trial Cut), 200 IM LCM (2:23.70).
  • Scholastic All-American (freshman-junior) and achieved first honors all four years.
  • Swam for SwimMAC Carolina; team was four-time national champion, holds national age group record 13-14 400 Medley Relay, Four-time junior national finalist, 2017 Zone National Select Camp.
  • Member of National Honors Society, Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta National Math Honor Society.
  • Volunteers with St. Matthew Catholic, ALS Association, National Wildlife Federation and as a swimmer swim league coach
  • “Notre Dame has everything I hoped for in my college experience- a rich history of excellence in the classroom and athletics, an awesome team of swimmers and coaches on the rise, and a school filled with traditions I look forward to being part of during the next four years,” Menkhaus said.
  • Parents are Stephanie and Peter Menkhaus (both Clemson University); has one brother, Patrick, and a sister, Julia, who swims at the University of Virginia. Uncle, Scott Jaffe, swam at UC Berkeley and was a bronze medalist at the 1992 Olympics in the 4×200 Free Relay. Uncle, Ken Menkhaus, played tennis at Xavier University.
