AS A SENIOR (2025-26)

  • Placed fourth in the 100 back (47.03) and second in the 200 back (1:44.28) at Louisville. Also helped the 400 free relay to second place finish and the 200 medley relay to a third place finish
  • Swam four events against Northwestern — 100 back (48.01, finished fourth), 200 back (1:46.75, finished fifth), 200 medley A relay (back, finished second), 400 free B relay (finished fourth)
  • Won the 100 back versus Michigan and Wisconsin with a time of 47.24. Also led off the 200 medley A relay that placed second and anchored the 400 free A relay that placed second

AS A SOPHOMORE (2023-24)

  • Placed eighth in the 200 back at NCAA Championships with a time of 1:40.25, earning First Team All-America status. Janton notched a school record in the event in prelims (1:38.36). He also finished 11th in 100 back with a time of 44.75 (another school record) and subsequently broke his own school record leading off the 400 medley relay that night with a time of 44.58. Helped Notre Dame to a pair of top-eight relay finishes in the 200 and 400 free relays as well
  • Won the 200 back at ACC Championships with a school record time of 1:39.21. Also placed 10th in the 100 back (45.17) and 21st in the 100 fly (46.43)
  • Won the 200 back (1:40.42), took fourth in 100 fly (46.74) at the Tim Welsh Classic. Also helped ND bring home first in the 200 free relay, 400 medley relay, 200 medley relay and 400 free relay. Helped place second in the 800 free relay
  • Won all six of his events against Navy and Princeton — 100 back (46.10), 200 back (1:41.85) and four relays
  • Continued an excellent sophomore campaign with multiple great performances at the Ohio State Fall Invitational
    • Won the 200 back with a time of 1:40.34 (NCAA B cut)
    • Took third in the 100 back with a time of 45.85
    • Finished ninth in the 50 free with a time of 19.85
    • Earned four U.S. Open cuts: 50 free, 100 back, 200 back and 100 fly
  • Finished first in the 100 and 200 back (46.96/1:43.95) against Louisville. Swam backstroke on the 200 medley relay that finished second
  • Won the 100 back (45.86), 200 and 400 free relay, 200 and 400 medley relay. Also took second in the 200 back (1:41.29)
  • Was a quad winner against Purdue, taking first in the 200 free (1:38.25), 200 back (1:43.26), 200 medley relay (back) and 400 free relay
  • Won all four events that he swam against Wisconsin: 100 backstroke (46.74), 200 backstroke (1:45.14), 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay
  • Competed in three events at the Phillips 66 National Championships. Made the A final in both the 50 back (24.84) and 200 back (1:56.94). Finished seventh in the 50 back with a finals time of 25.03 and eighth in the 200 back with a finals time of 1:59.42. Also took 12th in the 200 back with a time of 54.18.

AS A FRESHMAN (2022-23)

  • Competed in four events at NCAAs
    • 100 back (finished 14th with a time of 45.43)
    • 200 back (finished 10th with a time of 1:39.45)
    • 200 medley relay (finished 17th with time of 1:23.35)
    • 200 free relay (finished 22nd with time of 1:17.44)
  • Broke school record in 100 back (45.12) during a swim-off at NCAAs
  • Finished 7th in the 100 back (45.97) and 200 back (1:41.44) and participated in the 100 fly (47.08) at ACCs
  • Swam the backstroke leg (21.31) of the 200 medley relay at ACCs, which finished fifth (1:24.22). Also swam the backstroke leg of the 400 medley relay (45.74) which finished seventh (3:07.92)
  • Earned two second-place finishes in the backstroke events (48.25/1:47.37) in his first college meet (Pitt/Penn State)
  • Won the 200 back (1:45.33) and took second in the 100 back (47.71) against Louisville
  • Took home fifth place in the 100 back (47.22) at the Ohio State Invitational
  • Finished third overall in the 100M back (54.96) and 10th overall in the 200M back (2:01.40) at the 2022 Toyota U.S. Open. Both times are 2024 Olympic Trials cuts.
  • Won the 100 back (46.50) and 200 back (1:43.32) against Navy and Princeton

PREP AND PERSONAL

  • Won the 100 back at the 2025 USA Swimming National Championships, earning a spot on the U.S. National Team
